I have no idea if I'm going to be able to contribute anything, but I'm just wondering exactly how that's going to work.  I don't think nudity, even in threads marked NSFW, is allowed anymore here.  Put another way, I think alerts might now go to general EA employees, not specific moderators of this particular forum.  Which could cause problems.  Maybe have an official thread on NeverwinterVault.org to post screenshots or something like that?    

 

There are more than a couple of things in the Book of Vile Darkness, for instance, that could/would be way over the line, here.  Not  to mention depicting any of a number of bodily functions which involve grimacing.

 

Thoughts on how we can best handle this without some problem arising?

Is the October competition going to be "Adults Only" like the poll says on the Vault? If so, maybe you can stretch the meaning a bit. For example: alcohol and other intoxicants; smoking various pipe-weeds and such; tattoos... Other things that are adult oriented without being yet another nudity hak.

Not another nudity hak please. It's already been done to death. If people want to make such a thing I have a simple question. Which image editors have a built-in pixilation function? You know the sort of thing I mean. It's used all the time on tv including in the news to obscure that which your victorian great aunt wouldn't be amused to see.

I've done it in GIMP with the Pixelize filter. Just select an area and run the filter.

Heh heh, well...after taking so much time to learn how to mod, whatever I make will be, as it has always been, whatever I please.

I'm thinking we'll be fine if we make sure to pixelate/blackbox the parts that wouldn't be acceptable here, or even just go with text descriptions for some of the more "colorful" content that really can't be shown even with censoring.

 

It was kind of an overwhelming vote: 17 for the adult theme, only 6 for the 2nd place theme.
