I'm kinda a noob, but I pulled this level 26 Lyrium infused Staff from a perilous Fereldan Castle where someone used a Dragon's Call.

 

This is a quality staff correct?  I know the schematic is great in single player.  It has more damage than any other staff I have seen yet (80 electric), prompting me to put my best spirit rune in it (+16 spirit dmg, haven't got a superb yet).  I'm not sure how much mileage I will get out of it, but I imagine a lot.

 

I had a question about its proc ability.  Is it affected by passives and rings?  Like the chain lightning ring and such?  I

That I'd the blue 26 staff correct? If so it is a prerequisite find in order to find the purple staff isianas song that casts chain lighting at a higher damage % from nightmare dragons. It is a decent staff and now you have a chance at the better version.

Pretty certain I got the purp Isana's Song from a Perilous Dragon (after already having the blue Lyrium Infused Staff). That is unless host ninja'd to Nightmare and we breezed thru.

You can get all descent weapons including purples by defeating perilous/ nm dragons they aren't excluded to just nightmare....

True dat. Though, on another hand, I have all hakkons and no descent.

What about its proc?  Is it affected by passive and ring of chain lightning?

Never tried but there aren't any rings/belts or passives that would increase the chances of it proc, but crit dmg and chaining rings/storm pact belt are dmg based thus they would have a noticeable effect
