Has anyone tried using the deepstalker sigil on a Reaver. Since they should have a lot of atk would it be worth it to drop half of it since you could get into flanking position easy?? Only thing I am a little worried about is Giants and any other mob that is immune to taunt.

The main point is though, would it be worth it??

IIRC someone did already test sigil of the great bear, and because stamina regen is based in percentage of total stamina per second, the actual rate of regen is the same, you just have twice the total pool to play with.

I can't find the test thread, I'll have to have a look around later. I've only used it on artificer so far, and its worked gloriously, but that may be because cheap shots and high crit chance immediately refill my stamina bar as soon as the mines go off.

I tested every sigil and it's all garbage except for Sigil of the Great Bear, but you have to use it with amulet that generates stamina\mana I suggest amulet of renewal.
Sigil of the Bronto — gives tiny tiny amount of guard, but no barrier anymore, not worth it.
Sigil of the Deepstalker – if you want flanking damage so badly then craft your weapon or get Superb Ring of Flanking. Anyway flanking damage is not that great, go crit chance\damage.  -50 attack huge debuff for rogue don’t even bother with that sigil.
Sigil of the Giant – give it to artificer only, but you won't see any difference, just to fill up the slot.
I won't talk about other sigils because they are in a best case useless but in most cases will cripple your character and if you don't realize that then it's your problem. Sigil of the Great Bear is the only sane choice, thanks bioware for more useless garbage you gave us.

Here for all flank lovers 179 flanking damage, go flank.

It is more difficult on a warrior to flank than with a rogue or a mage because you don't have stealth so you do get more direct aggro. I tried it and I could do more dps with my reaver but I had to basically be a bit cautious when engaging in combat and have Cassandra (my tank) take the initiative after I sort of attack something and retreat for a bit and then go in and destroy stuff once it's occupied with the rest of the party. It was a bit like playing a more durable assassin but without stealth. I also equipped the blue amulet of Accord for a while to get less direct attention. In the end given positioning and stuff average damage you do definitely will not double but will average out to maybe 50% more than going with pure attack but you have to always try to attack from behind. But the main problem was the initiate combat part as I stated because the other characters were a bit too passive sometimes. I sort of solved it once I had Sera and Dorian and had Sera to follow self and initiate combat from range, Cass to follow Sera (defend her) and Dorian to follow Cass. That worked well so once Sera started pulling mobs I could operate freely. With ranged targets and mages I did grappling chain then mighty blow, combat roll to flank and dragon Rage them. If you do use the sigil you absolutely have to flank because up front damage will be halfed, and that was doable always with combat roll and giants where not a problem, they don't turn to me once going after Sera or Cass. And if they rarely did I cr behind them again. You can give it a try for the 20k+ 22k dragon rages though :) I think my highest hit was a 27k Dr at lower health, pretty good for a spammable ability with no cooldown.

I've used the Sigil of the Great Bear on most of my builds post-Trespasser. It doubles your Mana/Stamina pool with virtually no downside. Rogues have almost infinite Stamina anyway with the passive Look Like it Hurt and regular crits. Warriors can use the Amulet of Death Syphon and Mages have many passives to compensate as well as the Amulet of Renewal or Andraste's Sacrifice.
The only builds I did not use the Sigil of the Great Bear were for high level Rogues, which I ended up using the Deepstalker Sigil combined with Malika's Guard Amulet. This combo gives you 150% Flanking Damage, 10% Crit Damage at a cost of -25% Attack which at high levels and sufficient Crits isn't much of a big deal.

Sigil of the deathroot is good for a 2h or w&s champion you dont need healing anyway, and the attack bonus helps

Keep in mind I haven't actually tired these out so far, just giving my suggestions on some of the only worthwhile looking ones from a far glance.

Sigil of the Bronto is best used on a Champion.

Sigil of the Giant I'd give to a Reaver, especially if it stacks with Deep Reserves and Amulet of Renewal. Necromancer could work with it as well.

Sigil of the Great Bear, the best of the lot I think, would be great on an Artificer and Rift Mage.

Sigil of the Tusket on frail AI characters with low armor.

Sorry, I should have gone back and edited my original post. It was pointed out to me that Tusket is bad, because it trades a constant deduction from incoming damage for one that degrades over time as you lose health. I've now updated my post so others won't be mislead.

If your max health is 100 and your armor is 90, you can take 100 damage hits all day, well, 10 times anyway if you ignore health regen. If your max health is 200 (100 is more than 90, meeting my earlier requirement) but your armor is  0, you can only take 2 hits at 100.
