Although I have issue with the main games narrative, game structure and characters I felt that the Tresspasser DLC (teasingly) played like old school Dragon Age.Due to the fixed location, the story and characters had a lot more focus, the Quanari (unlike the main game) were their old threatening selves and characters expressed emotions that felt responsive to the situation,it was refreshing to see companions get angry for example.

EA games in general have nailed environmental design,I don't know who's responsible for DA's environments but location and lighting look fantastic,I also loved the bridge segments in the DLC that materialized as you walked on them, chunks of the environment that are invisible until you interact with them is a unique SFX.

The Solas reveal at the end basically hinges on what Bioware does next (for me),I personally would like Solas to be handled in the same way as Morrigan,we sort of know who she is,we know some of what she has done but overall she remains a mystery, treating Solas in the same way opens up plenty of story opportunity which has far more value than trying to villainize Solas,as a villain,he simply does not generate the threat needed to be a main villain, especially after being a romance option for some.

Overall,I had no issue with the Trespasser DLC,really enjoyed playing it and especially liked the return of the traditional format, characters, story, locations all worked well together to give players a nice focused chunk of solid story,if Bioware used the Trespasser DLC as a blue print for the next game I'd be more than happy.

I really enjoyed it. All three DLCs added something new. I tend to like The Descent and Trespassers more than JOH.
