Yeah, the only diference is that Shepard always shoots everything in 3 games, and never kills himself or quits.

Who's quitting?

Who's quitting?

The refuse ending is the quitters ending.

Starbart: Shepard, here, just kill yourself in this machine, I ensure you, you'll die but you wiil be in control of all reapers, even me.
Shepard: Of course, why not? I don't know why I didn't kill myself the first time Sovereign or Harbinger asked me that. Are you sure if I throw myself at those lightining rods you'll be able to abosorb my mind as I burn in screaming agony?
Starbrat: Don't worry Shepard, we, the reapers, never meant to do you any harm. Thrust me.
Shepard: Ok

If you don't trust the catalyst, then there's no way to choose among the options.

All of the information provided about the options comes from the Catalyst. If we don't trust the Catalyst, we know literally nothing about the options.

Furthermore, Shepard has no reason to care about the state of the galaxy if he dies, because he'll be too dead to feel guilty about it.

I'd imagine that the Leviathans have more than just that pulse for planet defense.  And since they are probably the ones that invented mass effect technology, it wouldn't be too much a stretch that they have a relay on their planet.  A race that lasted that long surely would have several contingencies lined up.  I doubt that Desponia is the only planet they currently inhabit.

Probably not. If they had more than the orbs for planetary defense, they would've taken down the Normandy.

Maybe they weren't  able to. It looks like their defenses only works for a short distance.

A race that lasted that long over countless harvests.  I'd like to think that they've got more than the pulses.  Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.

Unless I missed something, there indeed will be a canonised ending for ME trilogy, since there wasn't any save-import functionality announced.

Bioware seems to be planning on doing something similar to Dragon Age: Keep for future Mass Effect games, so while there is no save import you can create your worldstate and import it through the site.

Who knows? The Leviathan are fairly underdeveloped though. Beyond the orbs and some people turned into slaves, there's so little really revealed about them. I mean, I'm still not even sure how they'd even travel from place to place. Do they just fly out into space naked?

Don't worry too much guys It's not like soon they will be announcing that ME:A's main character is Shepard once again without the slightest explanation how.

If BW canonise anything, it should be "Reapers win after Shep suffers death by snu-snu".

They lasted by hiding from, night fighting against, the Reapers.

Whatever they have, it's not enough- or else they already would have been able to win.

I would love for them to pick the destroy ending and continue the game but it would not be fair for people who picked a different ending with the explanation that it was up to us how the game ended.

So no op, Bioware made their bed so they will have to lay in it and be very careful what options they have in their games.

Because unlike romance threads, this is based in the realms of logic.

Really? Because I don't see logic here. I see denial and refusal to accept reality.

I get a lot of people don't like the move to Andromeda, and would prefer ME4 instead of MEA, but get over it. Bioware choose which direction they want to go and they are going there. Trying to say they could have done something else means nothing, they are doing this. I'm sorry your upset, but complaining about it will only keep you upset, if you accept the change you'll end up happier sooner.
