Seriously, where can I find some of these? I've been playing for a pretty long time and the only ones I've found were the items cache Aria cues you in on and the missing Cerberus operative. I've scanned a bunch of planets but I'm just not finding any side missions.

Keep scanning tbh, lol.
I found a couple this way. The good news is the ones I've found seem to lead to others, but flying around looking for the first ones is kind of a pain. (If you bring probes and patience, though, you'll have resources for all your upgrades!)

Do you at least get some indication that there IS a mission when you get to planets? THe only times EDI has ever told me there was an anomaly was when I had been informed of the mission in advance.

Doesn't the AI tell you "Anomaly Detected" every time you enter the orbit of a planet that has a mission? If so, it'd probably take 10-20 minutes finding them all.
