The belt is worthless then.

 

Each Ice Chord should = how many times the spell is amplified by the belt.

Works for Cold Beats, but they don't crit and do less damage than they should. You're better off with Storm Pact for Power Chord.

 

And the belts amplify elemental damage, the chords are only relevant for certain passives.

Barrier is not an ice spell.  However your cool beats should hit much harder on each tick.  Power chord with storm pact is still better though.

Well technically it is on Zither because it is 3 ice chords.

If anyone does bother using Cool Beats with the belt, I would suggest Heart of Despair.  You don't need all that extra crit damage from Hakkon's Wisdom, so you might as well get something with more survivability on it.

Yeah was running it with Heart of Despair when I did it, without barrier counting as an ice spell even though it is cast with ice element it makes it somewhat obsolete to waste your time with it. 

 

Way better to run with Storm Pact + Heart of Pride + Power Chord ring + Amulet of Renewal.

 

The Winter Pact belt is not even worth it on the Necromancer and much more beneficial for the Inferno pact on the elementalist than specializing in ice magic.

 

So my conclusion is... Winter Pact = waste of inventory space (unless it actually worked with Zithers elemental chord casting).

Unless you have Physical Immunity Amulet... once you level up no need to worry about mana regen to much with the correct passives

I've already had 4 in loot chests so I don't see the problem, I just wish it could be utilized to it's full potential.
