So last weekend I started playing the multiplayer.  I hit the challenge without even realizing it.  This weekend I was prepared!

So I'm proud to announce this weekend I unlocked my last needed character, Isabela, and in a chest I got Yavanalis!  It turns Threatening nugs into a joke on my arcane warrior LOL! I also was able to hit a mil xp on warrior and mage, and working on the rogue.

Truth be told, I almost want to pause the rogue million xp this weekend.  I have a heal on kill grip on my archers bow, but still nugs are huge pain in the ass (and quite funny).

My arcane warrior feels very very powerful now.  I was using a Lyrium-Infused Staff I got from a Perilous Dragon run earlier this week, but Yavanlis is only 4 damage less, while immensely raising survivability of all my mages.  I'm very happy!

Unforunately, I was scrambling to get materials for Isabelas leathers, and hence have no spirit rune to insert yet lol!  It will come eventually of course.

I feel like I will get some incredible mileage from this staff.   Any recommendations about blade and grip for it?  More HoK?  I have some cotton available.

Edit:  I can tell Isabela will be one of my favorite characters after this nug infested weekend!  I freaking loved her in DA 2, so playing her again is awesome.  Plus I love the bolt ability on a dagger rogue.

Congratulations, that's a hell of a chest pull. You'll be getting a lot of use out of that staff.

Thank you!  Maybe its Biowares way of making up for how long it took to get Lancer X (Although I barely even use it anymore LOL).  Any recommendations about a grip/blade on it?  More damage or more HoK?

Personally, I'd go more HoK as you recently started. It's a fairly divisive question, but I prefer survival over added damage any day.

Basically the procedure done right for your upgrades is to have a safe level of Heal-on-kill until you hit around 30+ Constitution and then you can quite comfortably sub in crit chance on the staff or crit damage.  You could of course also do this when you find your first purple heal on kill ring.  when you get a second, grinding a level1-6 character is almost immortality, so long as you have decent platforming skills if needed.

A lot depends rambo.

For grips: Which is your favorite mage?

What are your best rings?

How much material do you have to spend?

In general I want Heal on Kill to come out at 20-25% for a mage.

An arcane can do with less, a necro may have use for more.

As a starter without a Hakkon I think you'll be choosing between Attack and Heal on Kill
