Was listening to some KOTOR1 forgot some of the OST, was engaging

Have you ever played Morrowind? Jeremy Soule (the guy who composed the original score for KOTOR) has done the soundtracks for the Elder Scrolls games, and a few of the tracks from Morrowind sound very similar to tracks from KOTOR. If you like KOTOR's soundtrack, check that one out.

I agree with the earlier sentiment about Inon Zur's work in DAO. I only really enjoyed the DAO main theme and the combat themes for Lothering and Redcliffe.  Although Inon Zur is a great composer (his work for Fallout 4 was superb), I just don't think that DAO's soundtrack was particularly memorable or exciting.

But Hulick and Wall should definitely come back for ME:A. They did really splendid work with the Mass Effect soundtracks, as did the guys Bioware brought in for the Arrival, Overlord and Shadow Broker DLCs.

Oh yeah for sure, Morrowind is plenty good, played it way back when and it was quite something.

My first encounter with Jeremy Soule was back with Secret of Evermore which was quite creepy! Naturally he's done quite a bit of game music... it seems like Guild Wars was kind of a magnum opus in many ways (just based on scale and such)

This is probably my favorite from Secret of Evermore

Since when did they underestimate their soundtracks?

It's about the only thing they consistently do well.

Mass Effect OST was cool and fun and all but Soule was and always has been just so much fun!

Plus with KOTOR (and possibly other games) he showed he could make pretty sci-fi sounding stuff as well.

The stuff I enjoyed in ME most was actually the random one off stuff like "Victory" or something moreso than the main tracks.

Spoiler

Even then though, not quite as sparkly as a lot of stuff from earlier Bioware games.
