It's not just the number of enemies killed, it is the process of killing them as well.
Blocking, barrier, status effects, combos, those give support exp
Doing damage will give damage exp
If everyone in the match damages every enemiy, have barrier ul while getting hit. Stunning enemies, detonating combos, etc. will all greatly increase exp. Although if you take the time to do that you will get more exp per match but it could potentially slow the match down and decrease your average exp/minute. So sacrifice a little time for greater exp/run or not, up to you.

the giants bugging out seems to be specific to dragon rage, the 10 times I have been in a match where it happened it was always a reaver ....... so pro tip don't dr on a giant ...
