Leviathan never said that the catalyst was a mistake. It is just the opposite !
You're right, sorry. I meant that the Leviathan DLC indicates making the Catalyst in the first place was a mistake. The Leviathan race says the Catalyst just hasn't yet accomplished its purpose.
I though Leviathan should be the new enemy in ME4 (they say they'll fight, not for Shepard; they fight because they are the apex race, so it seems to me as soon as the Reapers are gone, Leviathan would come back and try to take everybody over again). But I digress.

I haven't actually played leviathan, so going to buy and dl it this time. *shakes fist in rage at prices of DLC on psn*
But yeah that does make perfect sense to me.
Kind of pee's me off that the 'paragon' colored one is the one I think is the most renegade, and I am a paragon player apart from the odd punching some one in the face here and there.
we are supposed to just be like: hell ok I suddenly trust the reapers and will ally with them?!
Whhhhattt. I don't buy it really. Screw the reapers. Big ass flea looking things.
I wish EDI didn't have to die...even if the geth did. I felt like a bit of a scum bag for loving Legion etc and then just killing all the geth.

If you're using psn and not really in a hurry it might be cheap again soon. They had a sale in February and I was lucky I finished the game at this time, got it for 5 bucks or less. Actually they had all the DLCs for around 3-5 bucks.
Haha, in my second playthrough my MShep liked Legion and wanted to help the geth gain true independence. Only I made one mistake in ME2 and thus couldn't broker peace... I sided with the quarians and got one of the best scenes with Tali I've seen so far, and I cried
I felt like crap afterwards.

I can't believe anything in the world can make anyone feel as bad as shooting Mordin in the back as he's walking to the Shroud elevator. And then to see him try to crawl to the console at the top...
Seeing Tali knife Legion? Horrible.
Seeing Tali fall off the cliff: heart-stopping horrific.
Shooting Mordin? Bile-inducing, not-able-to-sleep-at-night-need-to-find-a-priest horrific.
@ Jeniva: everyone has their own opinion (right Samara?), but I didn't much care for Leviathan. I thought it broke the golden rule of bad guys: never give them a backstory if you want them to be a great bad guy. We didn't need to know where the Reapers came from, especially when Sovereign thought they were immortal (delusiosn of grandeur, to quote another great sci fi series?). Like the Joker in The Dark Knight or the Emperor in Star Wars: to make a bad guy great, keep his past shrouded in mystery. Once you know his past, you're either dissatisfied, or the bad guy just doesn't seem that bad.
All that to say, in my opinion, you're not missing much.
It's just my opinion, though, no need to go spreading it around.

Yeah, I did that thing with Mordin, too. More tears ahead ![]()
The scene with Tali wasn't the stabbing, but she and Legion were friends and she mourns him too afterwards. It was pretty sweet to see her care so much about what just happened. But it made me feel even more bad, haha.
On Leviathan topic, I really liked it! It is, as everything, a matter of taste
Perhaps Jeniva could watch it a bit on Youtube first? Not the same as playing though of course.

I couldn't really give a cr*p about the Geth (including Legion), and they're usually dead by the time I get to the endgame anyway. EDI, meh, she trusts your judgement so if you think it's the right choice then it's the right choice, no need for guilt re EDI.
That being the case, not much downside.
Control is what TIM wanted. You know, the guy who you've been trying to stop for the entire game....
Synthesis, lol, just...no. You know we asked you to stop the Reapers Shepard? Well we didn't really expect you to achieve this by DNA raping EVERY single thing in the entire galaxy....
Refuse, momentary satisfaction of shooting Space Casper in the face, interrupted by the insta-fail epilogue.
Destroy. Every. Single. Time.

Alright I have a question about the destroy high EMS and shepard surviving.
Where does Shepard wake up? Crucible or Earth?
Are the relays destroyed? You see the normandy taking off from that tropical place - so can they reach shepard again?

The relays are damaged but not destroyed.
Can they reach Shepard again? Not any time soon.

They will, in time
It's a bit of waiting, but well worth it imo and probably a bittersweet reunion! ![]()

Yeah I'd hope so.
I'd imagine everyone would work on fixing the relays asap as they rely on them.
I just looked at a video of the control ending, reaper shepard is scary as fk. How can anyone want to do control and say it's 'paragon'.
The reject ending makes me crap myself when the star shi...child says 'so be it'

i doubt EDI would not give up her live to save the galaxy. So Synthesis is still an option. But totally unbelievable and leaves way too many question on the table.
But generally it depends if I saved the Geth or not. If I did, then Destroy is out of the question. So I usually pick Control. If the Geth are dead, Destroy.

It's been a while since I've seen the epilogues/slides but don't they show Wrex back on Tuchanka? If so then the relays must have been repaired at some point in the not too distant future. Samara is back on Thessia as well isn't she?
As mentioned up thread, probably just a long wait until Shepard and LI are re-united.
That being said, I still wanted to actually see it though......!

Citadel.

Depends. In the epilogue, they show ships surrounding the Citadel before its repaired. I would guess, the Normandy would show up around the same time since its able to leave the unknown planet. It also depends how far they are from Earth that will take the most time to getting back to the Citadel.

true I forgot about the fact that everyone seemed back on their home planet in the slides.

I think I always assumed that they were ships that had been damaged in battle and couldn't make the jump to the rendezvous point, hence they were closer to the Citadel because they were on the right side of the relay when they all got taken out.

According to Mike Gamble, Shepard is on the Citadel
https://twitter.com/...187404377001987
Here's a thread about where the breath scene happens
Are the relays destroyed?
No. If ems is above 2600, the relays do not explode. If below 2600, relays explode . Here's what I posted in another thread about that
You see the normandy taking off from that tropical place - so can they reach shepard again?
Yes. Its up to the player how long it takes for the crew to see Shepard again
I think I always assumed that they were ships that had been damaged in battle and couldn't make the jump to the rendezvous point, hence they were closer to the Citadel because they were on the right side of the relay when they all got taken out.
From what the slide shows, it looks like the same ships that are seen flying by the damaged relay

True, but Zaeed is on the beach; the Geth and/or quarians are on Rannoch.
The Catalyst says (if your EMS is high enough) that it won't take long to repair whatever damage was lost. And at one point in Hackett's narration, the relays are already being repaired.
Slightly off-topic, but I always wished they had a slide of Kaiden reunited with his mom. He seems to me to be the most under-developed original character in the story. Or Bailey reuniting with his wife or kids, or Joker meeting his sister, or Garrus meeting his family (if you read the dossier in the Shadow Broker base, you know Garrus and his sister leave things off on pretty tense terms. Be nice to see that relationship resolved).
The ME universe is so big and there are so many characters, a proper ending would need to be about as long as the end of Return of the King, but boy would it be worth it.
And while I'm whining, I really wanted Anderson to live and get together with Kahlee Sanders. The war has a way of reminding you of the things you forgot to do.

This is true of course.Remember, Wrex and Samara have centuries of life ahead of them.
And without knowing where the planet that the Normandy crashed on is, it's also impossible to determine whether or not standard FTL is an option.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything. Zaeed doesn't have to be out of the Sol cluster, and those geth and quarians aren't necessarily ones who came to Sol.

or Joker meeting his sister,
Have you heard this conversation?
And then heard this conversation from Joker about his sister and father
And then this conversation between Liara and Joker about his sister and father

The way the game is presented, Anderson didn't need to be on the Citadel and die. Had TIM carried a pistol the whole time, the scene would've played out the same way without Anderson.

Well, the Charon relay can't take Normandy to any system that you can't reach via standard FTL from Sol in a couple of weeks, since it's a secondary relay. (Benning doesn't have a relay, and it sounds like Alpha Centauri doesn't either. Not sure about Demeter; the Codex is ambiguous.) Unless we want to posit a multiple-stage journey --Charon-Arcturus, Arcturus-primary destination, and so forth -- they're nearby.
