I honestly can't remember the last time I got a weapon drop. I'm not even close to maxed out on a bunch of weapons but all I get are character drops lately.

I think I have had at least ten AP's in a row give me TWO characters and no weapons. Last night I spent 700k on AP's, PSP's, SP's and VP's with not a single weapon dropped.

I need explanations.

700 k isn't really that much to be honest.Try and save up a few million credits at a time (or as much as you can) and buy bulk. However I personally stop if the store doesn't give me anything after 1 million.

On my alt account I just need the UR's now so I just buy Premium Spectre Packs (with the occasional Jumbo to keep my consumables up), but everyone has a different method.

Unless you are promoting, psp are crap, in the sense that they give you a basic character training card in place of a lvl3 consumable quiet often. I preferred ap when I needed only ur's.

There's no difference to buying in bulk vs buying one at a time. It's random. Flipping a coin 1 time vs 1000 times doesn't change the chance a single flip being heads or tails.

I don't have access to it now but off the top of my head I can tell you that I have a lvl 1 Harrier, lvl 1 Particle rifle, lvl 3 Hurricane, lvl 1 Spitfire, lvl 1 Lancer.....

Just give your gamertag on Xbox.
But as I said, sounds like your gold weapons are all at lvlX.
All you need are some gold character cards, and it's why even the Ap gives you characters.
The ultra rares are called that for a reason, they can be frustrating in their elusivenes.

700k isn't much of a dry run from what I've heard. I've been told I was fairly lucky and maxed my manifest (Legitimately, on PC) in 761 hours. The last half or so I did by saving up 3 mil then buying all 99k packs. It doesn't increase the chance that you'll get a UR in each pack you buy, but it does increase the odds of getting one, which makes spending in bulk feel a bit more tolerable.

I did try AP's but never found them to be better than PSP's, in my experience. Sure I got a lot of level; 4 gear, but not a lot of UR's dropped for me.

Besides when I'm after UR's I don't really care if I miss the occasional level 3 gear spot to a character card.

I store up a load of credits, then buy 3 reserve packs, if I get a ultra rare I buy another 3. If not, I play another match and try again.
Doing this I have found that if I get an ultra rare, I then unlock multiple URs in a row. But whether that's just chance I don't know. But it's working for me(I think) so I'll stick to it.

I took a similar amount of time to max my manifest.  I just spent what I'd earned each night and spent it at the end of the night before I logged off.  On occasion I'd go a week without picking up a weapon, which probably amounted to 5/6 mil spent.  Other occasions, I've had 2 URs in a single pack, and 3-4 in one buying session.

I am a victim of the RNG as well... It took me over 2,000 hours...yeah, I typed it correctly..to max my manifest...

 

I was a victim of a very strange glitch..one that almost caused me to stop playing completely.  I have talked with multiple people that this has happened to and they all wound up quitting.  This was mid-2013... I had just bought a PSP and got a Collector SMG 3 upgrade...for whatever reason...I did not receive 1 single UR upgrade / black card for almost 9 months after that pack......I spent I would say..way more than 300 million in that duration..nothing dropped..I would spend 10 million at a time...nothing.. For whatever reason once I / the other people I talked with..got the Collector SMG 2-3 card..their / my account froze..I could still get everything else except any UR's... For whatever strange reason..the week after Destiny came out...They began to drop for me insanely.... Within 3 weeks of that and spending about 150 million..I got 52 UR's...

I am sorry to say..he probably got the same glitch that me and those other people got.It sucks.seriously..It's like, you are getting a UR every so often..then for months & months..nothing..does not matter how many credits you spend..or what packs you buy..You are glitched ..I reported it 7 times..nothing happened...Destiny came out..then I started spending 20 millions at a time..weird coincidence...
