In DA stuff in the past and current so far, if it's shown, the first kiss has been the romance starter, and first night the commitment/locked in. DAI was the first time they had 2 romances where the first night is never mentioned or shown and the writers specifically said (for both) that it was left up to the player. I agree it seemed a little late for the I love you speech but, better late then never? he takes until post-game to tell a romanced Inquisitor that she looks lovely.
Haha, yeah. I don't know why they made him wait until after the game to say that when he has a few other romance greeting lines. He also admits he wanted to kiss you for "longer than I should admit" so I'm surprised he doesn't say that as soon as it's "allowed." Actually, he should start saying some of those greetings after the kiss. But yes, better late than never!
Though I hope Bioware loses their apparent aversion to being able to say "I love you" more than once. It doesn't need to be all the time, and I don't think it would detract from the weight of the first time its said, but it's treated with more aversion than the F-bomb
I tell my girlfriend I love her like 1000 times a day and it doesn't lose any of its weight
Would have at least been nice to say it again in Trespasser.
