I never see the Krysae anymore, for reasons well known to everyone here. Then today I was playing Cerberus, Ghost, Gold. It was me and one other person to start with, then two more people joined a minute or two apart while the match was in progress, and they both had the Krysae. It was pretty strange, never seeing it for literally years, then randomly two in the same match.

There is one funny thing, that I haven't ever been able to repeat. Hacked Atlas sync killing Phantom.

Talk about poetic justice.

Holy crap that can happen?  I thought only stuff like that happened in mgamerz mods lol.  I guess it makes sense though.  I bet you could force it if you tried hard enough.  Get a Phantom to follow you to an Atlas, then let the Atlas try to melee you, then Sabotage him and move away while the Phantom is still nearby.

One of my favorite builds for the Jugg uses the Krysae.  It sounds weird but it's good stuff.  I also like it on a few other characters.  It's not that great for bosses but mooks just get destroyed, and the proximity effect is very nice for shooting enemies in cover or around corners.

One of my favorite builds is the Huntress with the Krysae.. I wish I could say I am bringing it back..but how old is that saying? ...Seriously..Huntress Krysae with Incid ammo is stupidly, hilariously fun..  It still wrecks spawns...

Haha you play the weapon, Shuriken. It wasn't a brag about top score. 150k pts is nothing to brag about.

I think you're supposed to heavy melee with cobra out while switching to gun, but it only works sometimes

Yeah. Those that can hide the missile launcher with 5-5-F are:

HA, HSol, HSent, Novaguard (of the vanilla humans, the HE and the HI need a ladder) and the BF3 Soldier, all Drell, all Asari, the Smashbros, all N7s - Fury, Paladin, Slayer, Shadow, Demogirl except the poor Destroyer, who is discriminated against here - all Batarians, all Vorcha, the ACA, all Turians, and all Geth except the Jugg. The Warlord is the only Krogan who can hide the launcher this way. I make that 42 out of 65, but it's Sunday afternoon so you can't rely on my arithmetic.

Also, any character can also use the Batarian heavy melee to remove the launcher by equipping the Batarian Gauntlet.

The rest are doomed to use a ladder.

Also, it's obviously my day for making lists :P

Edit: Thanks to those who pointed out my errors and omissions.

Yeah. Those that can hide the missile launcher with 5-5-F are:

HMA/HFA (alone of the vanilla humans)

Can't speak for the PC, but on PS3 (assuming that 5-5-F is the PC equivalent of up-square-circle), it also works on the HSol and Novaguard, certainly the lady ones anyway.  And also the HSent, who shares a character model with the HA.

I hate it when you are using a character that requires a ladder to remove the launcher then you land on a map that doesn't have one...my poor volus & quarians, man.

Thank you. I stand corrected, and the post has been edited. I guess it shows that I really only play the HI and HE regularly.

I haven't played on PS3, so it's not obvious to me why there are 3 buttons involved, on the ones I have played (PC, Xbox360, WiiU) it only takes two.

On PC it's 5 to switch to the Cobra, then 5 to switch back and immediately hold F for heavy melee. On Xbox, it's down on the D-pad to switch to the Cobra, then down again on the D-pad and immediately hold B for heavy melee (and the same for the WiiU, although the controllers swaps the actual positions of the A and B buttons relative to the Xbox360 controller).

TBH, the equivalent probably works on the PS3 as well; s'just that the square button, that swaps between the equipped weapons, also works for holstering the rocket launcher, and I always use it that way.

I'm probably doing it wrong, as with most things in this game

That's the reload button, which would be X on the Xbox360 controller. I confess I never tried doing it that way, but it should work. On PC, when I have the launcher out during a game I use the scroll wheel to swap to my weapons, down for primary, up for secondary.

In the light of recent cobra removal conversation, am I only one, who doesn't even try to remove cobra from your back, when I play?

I figured that out mid 2014 I think, and also the fact that clicking them takes you to the newest, unread post.
