So I have several characters on hold while I wait (possibly in vain) for the dialogue bugs in Trespasser to be fixed, so I have only done Trespasser with one of my characters. I have one more character to get ready for Trespasser, but I need two questions answered before I do so.

First, how friendly is friendship? My first character had high enough approval with everyone to unlock the friendship scene in Trespasser, but what is the threshold? How much approval is needed?

Second, the Well. My first character let Morrigan drink from it. Does anything in Trespasser change if you drink it yourself? Does it come up or do you learn more about the Well/the geas it places the drinker under/the knowledge you gain by doing so?

I think if you drink from the well, the Elven Guardian spirits let you pass instead of fight you.

As far as the friendship, you need to have completed their companion quests and unlocked all their friendship cut scenes.

Correct, the spirits won't attack you if you drank from the well.

You must also choose to listen to the Well when you meet with the spirit elves. All other options lead to fights.

You can skip a fight with a special dialogue option if you drank from the well.

People say you have to do a character's quest to get the cutscene, but I got Vivienne's, even though I turned her quest down... I'm not sure whether my game just bugged, or whether I managed to get more approval before the end of the game and it's based off that... I also DID complete Sera's, but didn't get any scene with her...

Vivienne is the exception. I don't know if it is a bug or working as intended. With Sera you need to do her rooftop cookie scene. You gotta make sure you do the quests and get all friend/romance cut scenes.

Ah, that explains it, I missed the rooftop scene (She hated my guts by that point in the game).

It's probably a bug that I got it, but the Vivienne scene was her basically rubbing it in my characters face that her boyfriend broke up with her, so at least it kinda made sense to still have the scene with a Vivienne that hated her.  <_<

I think it is intended to always get Vivienne's scene because she can be divine, the game allows you to interact with her in case she has that role.

Would be my guess anyway..
