well i buy the game in september and i play few time online now i check this few days and i not see people in the mode,each tieme with my low level i choice differents map and options but i not see people...really i not understood.
people of DAI is player of ME3?really i not see nothing or 1 or 2 people.
i think developers need add a new mode versus mages vs templars but need rescue the mutiplayer mode.

yeah - in your region there are not many people playing, so quick match usually won't work...

yeah i hope the devs have a plan for multiplayer,in few regions countrys the game is complety alone.
i am of southamerica and probably the server that i play is in Brasil?really i not see nothin g,i hope they think in a combination with mexico servers or others,is really bad play alone.
i play other game combat arms europe and planetside 2 multiplayer games and i not have problema,really is funny play with much people and listen the beautiful language english...(i speak spanish but the real and better acent is the english,for this i play all games with subtitles spanish and voice english)

Yes, region locked. Look through the "looking for group" threads and find names of folks that play on the same platform -- send them friend invites. If you're playing in a region with limited players, this may be the only way to get a group. You may suffer a bit of lag though.
I can't say much for the playerbase in South American as a whole, but there used to be a very small and fragmented Brazilian playerbase in the past. It was around late March or April when I, Jailson and a few others decided to join our endeavors and create a Brazilian team. I had been playing this game for five month beforehand, but that was the first I got to experience lag-free, blackscreen-free and mostly narnia-free games. Our endeavors were quite successful, at least as far as playing efficiently goes, the Leaderboards could tell that.
Four weeks ago, they all quit the game.
Today there is virtually no Brazilian playerbase worth speaking of, and probably no South American either. I really don't know what to tell to new players from this region. You can't even pug Threatening to start building your inventory. It is awful.
Making friends from other regions is the only alternative, even for me. But then you have to do whatever you can to bypass connectivity/netcode issues which are guaranteed to occur not just sometimes, but pretty much all the time. It is hard to get a team of patient people to deal with these issues.
I don't want to be seen as an elitist mofo, but I guess most PC players have noticed that I am and have been for three months the top Leaderboards player. What help can I give to someone who is new in the game? I get no reward from playing Threatening, newcomers will not be able to play Nightmare with me.
Also, my time to play is limited, and I only play strictly overnight (11 pm to 5 or 6 am) local time, except for Sundays and sometimes Saturdays. I don't think I can't be of much help.
I wish Bioware had the commitment to fix matchmaking and allow it to be like ME3 was, but I guess at this point in time it will never happen.

Sometimes, a VPN with a proxy server in the U.S. is the only way for to connect to anyone. It is not perfect, but it beats not being able to play at all...

The VPN was the first thing I tried but given nature of this game I had no problem "connecting" to someone but 80%-90% of the game joining ended in losing connection or "relaxed stance" and blackscreen. Surprisingly enough, there are a few promotion lords in this region (top 20) who have amazing connections to me so I can enjoy getting carried every once a while.

I am pretty much sure that ME3 isn't region locked or at least has much more advanced(lol) matchmaking system.

But,OP in your region there is few high ranked BSNers,so maybe you should connect with them as some already suggested.
While we at,I played over the VPN on USA servers,because I couldn't wait for European release and it wasn't that bad.

Well,the only thing that could be illegal,is that you register in country different than your own to avoid paying tax on a game or taking advantage of cheaper game on that market.
But,other than that I don't see why would be illegal to play over VPN.

My guess is that or engine has some limitations (which devs have to crack) or BW wanted to give us better gaming experience,i.e. indulge those forumites who cried for connecting them with players more than 50 miles away from them ( believe me they were plentiful back in a day).
