I have all hakkons and most descent weapons but none of the 27s. Rng is working as intended.

I have played this game for about 2,400 hours (not counting SP hours), I've spent about 1.5 million gold since these new items were introduced and got only 2 of these Level 27 ones so far (one being the Shield).

I usually welcome RNG as an attempt to increase the game longevity. But this is just pathetic.

I'm at 201 dragon runs no hakkons, no lv 27 missing 1 lv 26( shield) and I should be in high loot table, but I sure do get a lot of lv 12 commons from that nightmare dragon tho.

Game support is officially over and there will be no new content. The game is in its last days, why not increase the drop rates? What does it matter? Soon most everyone will be moving on. At least if the drop rates were dramatically increased, I could enjoy more content before its all over.

About a month ago I found a great group of people who play a lot and they helped me get my first nightmare weapon. I got sick for a few weeks and now since the game is dying, I have not been back to that group - its depressing that the game is dying. I still do the weekend events but find it hard to put in more time when its dying. If the drop rate increased dramatically it would be fun again for at least a couple months.

It's okay, you got the one amulet to rule them all...  that amulet is better than any of the level 27s (except maybe bosun's blade).

201 dragon runs and no Hakkons? That is unbelievable if they were all NM runs.

Back to topic: I have 2 27s (Rime and Brand) after about 300k spent.

Spent 1.1 million or so

Got the level 27 shield (which btw, is useless), nothing else.  No Hakkons, nothing other level 27 weapons, no amulet of physical immunity.  Nothing.

**** RNG

Not only have I completely given up on getting crescent shadow (ill finish off that 10m gold challenge before that ever happens, unless something changes) I have given up even hoping to get another level 27 weapon/amulet of physical immunity.

And im really close to dumping Hakkon chances in there as well.

You guys realize this games loot progression was designed with slot machine rng system to entice you to spend real world currency?

this depresses me; I keep playing in the hopes of getting THE weapon, which I won't get until I get all this other stuff.  I'm all about optimism but blind, stupid and senile optimism is another thing altogether.

I think that if they really wanted to make some money, they would set it up where you could buy the entire set of Hakkon weapons for some nominal fee, like top rolls guaranteed, at $9.99.  Single pieces, take your chances on the rolls, at $0.99 a piece.  Maybe $1.19 a piece, for the level 27 gear.  One weekend a month, price the items so you can buy 4 and get the 5th one for free.  They'd clean up on the micro-transactions, the customers would get what they want, and the only people who'd be left unhappy would be the cheap-skate bastards who would whine that DAIMP became "pay-to-win".  To them, I say screw off and let them grind their in-game gold, and take their chances with the RNG if they don't want to pony up real cash for their specialized gear.

Yes, I suggested this before and everyone was crying bloody murder and claiming that I wanted it to be P2WIN when it is a friggen co-op game and to win is to complete a dungeon with your team.

They also watered down the RNG potency chances by putting the Dragon Weapons/Hakkon in the general RNG slot machine loot table but people didn't seem to care.

Not P2W imo. If you look at other EA games such as BF4 or BF:H where you can actually buy all the progression items for $45..

I don't welcome RNG as attempts to increase game longevity, because that's lazy design and a good way to alienate your player base. There's so much more they could have done with Platinum purchases. Just off the top of my head, for example: cosmetic customization. They coulda gone all wacky skins and themes. They could have done exp/gold boost consumables.

They could have implemented items in the shop as a token system, where you collect tokens by downing bosses and trade X amount of them in for your desired item. Heck, make items cost different kinds of tokens with the different faction bosses dropping the different tokens. Add in a Platinum chest with an assortment of tokens.

I feel like the way they implemented the loot system actually ended up hurting their Platinum sales in the long run. I bought a bit of Plat way back when the game came out to see if it actually gave you anything decent. As soon as I realized that it was still the same "Screw You RNG System" I went "Nope" and never bought Plat again. If their microtransaction system had offered something fun and meaningful, I'd probably have bought more over the lifespan of the game.

Would gladly drop $20 on the Hakkon weapons.

I give you cold hard cash, you give me digital rinky-dinks...

That's not even an hour of work, and given that I have done 115 runs just to get one stupid weapon, it would be a bargain. And it's not like I would stop playing, I would just enjoy my time more. We are certainly in the death rattle of the game, quit hiding stuff behind ridiculously low drop rates and ill conceived RNGs and let's get out there and serve the Inquisition full guns blazing!

(Are the developers fired up by pep talk? Anyone?)

It is so WRONG that you need to do 115 runs for 1 weapon. WTF are the devs thinking with such stupid low drop rates in a game like this?

If their goal is to alienate their player base and making them feel contempt for them.. they are definitely SUCCEEDING!!!

Bravo with at least succeeding at something bioware!
