If I personally had the power to remove a single piece of... nonsense (if you get me) from the average person's understanding of the way the mind works, it would be this.
It seems there are a lot of people in this thread with a poor understanding of statistics. I find the lack of faith disturbing...
After 190 runs, with two Hakkon to show for it, having a 140ish dry streak with a "5%" chance, I would actually pay for the other 3 Hakkons just to not play that damnable castle again.

I don't welcome RNG as attempts to increase game longevity, because that's lazy design and a good way to alienate your player base. There's so much more they could have done with Platinum purchases. Just off the top of my head, for example: cosmetic customization. They coulda gone all wacky skins and themes. They could have done exp/gold boost consumables.
They could have implemented items in the shop as a token system, where you collect tokens by downing bosses and trade X amount of them in for your desired item. Heck, make items cost different kinds of tokens with the different faction bosses dropping the different tokens. Add in a Platinum chest with an assortment of tokens.
I feel like the way they implemented the loot system actually ended up hurting their Platinum sales in the long run. I bought a bit of Plat way back when the game came out to see if it actually gave you anything decent. As soon as I realized that it was still the same "Screw You RNG System" I went "Nope" and never bought Plat again. If their microtransaction system had offered something fun and meaningful, I'd probably have bought more over the lifespan of the game.
I've rubbed a magic genie lamp with a hopeful wish that a Dev would take a moment to check on this to advise & clarify...
Since the patch, I've seen significantly less purple cards from chests to which it would appear that it became even harder to get these 27's that were already hard to get in the first place. Every one got psyched about the new weapon but at this rate, no one will ever have it.

I got one when the weapons were originally introduced (Bolt), but after that... nada.
For anyone wondering, yes level 27 are still dropping in chests since the latest patch. Just got 2 tonight for less than 50K

Dancer's Axe and Bosun Blade.I wanted the Bosun Blade from the day it launched so it's awesome I finally got it! Don't care much about Dancer's Axe, but if I'm ever to see the "ultimate" weapon... At any rate, I'm just very happy they weren't duplicates of level 27 I already had (1H Bolt, Shield, Dagger, 2H).Is it even possible to get duplicates for them? I mean, considering the abysmal drop rate, it would be pretty bad to be stuck with duplicates while 1 of the level 27 eludes you forever...The only thing I have to complain about is that I got Bosun Blade just before going to bed. I wanted to try it right away, but my body couldn't take it so today is a very very looooooonnnng day at work... and it's only 10AM

Got the Bolt today. Great for Routine and Threatning. A piece of junk on any higher level. Even the Bitter Axe is better than this thing. Highly disappointed.
