Nah that's just far to much work on my end ya know.

Nah that's just far to much work on my end ya know.

1. Return of multiple player races is a must for me, so I definitely hope that this continues in DA4
2. Return of origins-style openings would be nice, but who knows if they will consider this?
3. Better and more hairstyles in the CC is a MUST also; this was the worst aspect of the CC for Inquisition. A dozen short hair options only? What idiot made that decision??
4. Return of a Dalish elf protagonist. Um, this is covered in your number 1??
5. The option to be evil/ruthless/self-serving. Yes, this was absent for Inquisition; so they tailgunned gamer choice …. again?
6. Get ENTIRELY rid of race-gated armor. Oh hell yes, that was bullshit!!
7. Make mounts more useful? Should they pull equipment carts around for you or something? Mounts would have made a better impact if Bioware had done some cut scenes showing you interacting with your beloved steed of choice. Even the Lone Ranger gave Silver an apple very now and then??
8. Irish voice actor and actress for the protag. This is something that I could get behind.
9. Return of blood-magic. Another head-scratching choice removed from Inquisition??
10. More "casual" romances than DAI. This, plus brothels and female desire demons too!!
11. Cities and villages. Since Val Royeaux, Halamshiral, Crestwood, and Haven failed to cut it for you.
12. Large scale battles and sieges. Sorry to hear that you missed the whole Adamant thing and did you skip out on the epic horde fights against the darkspawn and Sha-Brytol featured during The Descent too? Those battles were the epitome of awesome.
4. Not really, they could return multiple player races but have us only be a city elf Tevinter slave......and I really wanna be a Dalish again ![]()
7. They could make the mounts faster, let our companions have mounts as well, let us have mounted battles, charge with our infantry. Most use I got out of the mounts in DAI was using them to climb up vertical mountains ![]()
11. Seeing as how those are the only ones we got out of TWO WHOLE COUNTRIES.....yeah, they didn't cut it for me.
12. I will admit, Adamant was ****** amazing. But we need more epic battles with the gigantic army that we build up! Not just one lol
That is a rather adorable gif. (I refuse to use the word cute). What is it from so that I may watch it?

Cool. I'll check it out.

So what you meant to say was that it was cute

Yes, but I detest the word.

So you actually meant to say I love the word cute just don't wanna type it?

No. I hate the word. It's such an ineffective way to describe something!
A baby with a snot bubble? Cute?
A pug? Cute?
A glittery phone case? Cute?
A flowery pattern? Cute?
No! None of them are cute. Not a single one of them. Anything described with the word cute makes me want vomit.
lmao you have a horrible way of trying to compare the word cute to things. Because none of those things are cute for sure.
But a Alaskan husky puppy NOW THATS CUTE OMG.

I heard every single one of them being described that way, today!
lol well you know some weird people because I agree none of those things are cute.

Oi! Pugs are cute ![]()

Aww look at that!

My own puggie pal, Bandit, is almost twelve years old and he thanks you for posting your nice photo.
I like most options on the list, but the dalish protagonist option isn't likely. The Dalish are largely restricted to the south and I'd prefer to see an elf with northern origins.
2, 7, and 9. I could take 'em or leave 'em. I mean, it wasn't a big deal we didn't start in different areas, but it would have been nice to have - as long as we get different backgrounds, I don't mind starting in the same area. I would like a bit more emphasis on the protag's origins during the game; we didn't get enough feedback for our having been nobility or a Keeper's First, or whatever we were.
6. I disagree, really. It's a good thing you can't just wear whatever the hell you want. I mean, you could role play that a city elf wants to be closer to the People, so they would want to wear Dalish-restricted armour.
Everything else, I agree with. However, the Dalish PC doesn't need to be voiced by an Irish person, they can be Welsh too, and possibly Scottish. Should have had a female and a male VA to play the Dalish Inquisitor - it would make sense that a city elf would have the same accent as a Marcher, but not a Dalish elf, not if they were exposed to the accents of their family from a young age.
Now that you are talking abut VAs....can we have an Aussie pleaaassseee?
That would be something... Something bad if the accent is too strong and/or too Bogan. It's bad enough I have to listen to it everyday.

Eh that's a cost thing, one I totally understand, four voice actors is already an impressive expense. It never bothered me.
Back when I took linguistics, I learned that very little of a person's accent or speech mannerisms come from their parents. Most of it comes from their peers growing up. So I headcanon that my Dalish and her friends liked to sneak off and meet the human kids of nearby farms.

Well, yeah, I used the word 'family' because I was having trouble making my point that the Dalish elf grew up in their clan, not in a city (they just visited FM cities often). So they would have the same accents as their fellow clan members, who also grew up in the very same clan (minus maybe 1 or 2 from other clans or city elves), that had existed mostly away from human cities. Basically, I mean their clan-mates and ancestors whom had kept to themselves enough that they would retain their Dalish accent (assuming that the Irish/Welsh/Scottish accents are Dalish, which is explained by the Sabrae clan having such an accent/s in DA2, instead of their accent from Origins). Hope that makes sense. @_@

Yup, I get it. ![]()
Still, its highly unlikely that after 700 years and only gathering once every ten years, these clans wouldn't develop distinct accents from one another.
I mean, English and American accents sound nothing alike despite frequent contact between the two countries over the few centuries since English settlers first arrived. That's partly because of immigrants from elsewhere, but one could argue that city elves joining the Dalish could have a similar effect.

If the story continues the whole Solas/Dalish gods thing then I think it needs to have Dalish involvement. Though a companion can work instead.

A companion seems more likely to me, we've had the Dalish protagonist option twice already and I find it likely Bioware would try to mix things up a little while moving northward. it would probably be useful to have someone to provide exposition of the elven gods anyway.
Ultimately though, I don't think dalish involvement is specifically required over elven involvement more generally. Their perspective on Solas might be interesting to hear, but not necessary.

If you're going to write a story about how a people's belief system is totally wrong and their gods are all evil then I don't see how you can exclude those people from the story. Other elves can't fulfil the same role because they don't follow the elven gods.
Unless Tevinter slaves have preserved their old religion, but Fenris suggests otherwise

I don't really agree. Because the dalish religion being wrong is not the focus of the story. Fen'harel is undoubtedly going to play a major part, but the focus will be on what he plans to do and what he plans to bring back. Like I said, the dalish reaction to these revelations would be interesting, it would add to the story, but not critical.
