Varric is and that's just as a friend. If you ask him to be your friend and then ask him what you are to him, he doesn't even see you a person until much later. In Trespasser he's the sweetest though and really sees you as a friend finally.

I also enjoyed the friendship mentions of Cole, Cassandra, Cullen, Josephine, Leliana, and Dorian. Even Blackwall can show a lot of appreciation for the Inq, even if he does not tag along. And while I still cannot understand most of what Sera means, who cannot like Inq Cookies, well besides the owner of the tavern?

Oooh, I thought of another one: it bothers me that Sera is the only LI who really comments on the PC's race. Dwarves, qunari, elves, and humans all get their own little unique comments from her in a romance. She obviously thinks qunari are hot, she coos over dwarf ladies and how squeezy cute they are, has her hangups about a relationship with another elf and teases the human Inquisitor about being noble.

Pretty much everyone else's race related dialogue is not romance specific. So, moar reactivity would be nice.

Cassandra gives one line referencing the race; "or they will say that I was lead astray by the wiles of a Qunari madman."

1) Hearing the SAME PIECES OF CHANT OF LIGHT over and over again in Skyhold.

2) The fact that certain dialogue options don't leave after you use them up - you can try to ask Varric about Hawke and himself forever, but once you say, "Can I ask you a personal question, Varric?" the only option after that is, "We'll talk later."  Nnnnnnnnnngh stop taunting me with new dialogue I don't actually have!

3) The fact that certain parts of Skyhold are NEVER upgraded but remain rotted dark dusty spiderwebby useless spaces forever.

4) Again in Skyhold, the fact that you can "examine" certain pieces of paper (like the letter to Leliana about her nug) multiple times, it never de-actives, and never updates.

5) That my companion dialogue is guaranteed to start while I'm looking through the skulls for shards, which makes everything echo-y and tinny.

6) The stupid cliff/hill thing you have to climb/jump around on to get the shards near the dragon in the Hinterlands. UGH! Never successfully been able to do it.

7) Mother whatseface that you recruit from the Hinterlands NEVER says that the Hinterlands folk have their food and clothes and won't starve and freeze. Nope, kill all the rams, collect all the meat, and she'll STILL report that they're hungry and starving and scared. WHAT DOES SHE WANT FROM ME?

Yay I can help someone! WingsandRings I had the same #7 problem you have on my first play through. Go left from the village you found Gi-cant spell it the Mother your talking about. There is a unmarked Inquisition camp you have to go to. Talk to Corporal Vale.

Yeah, but she also says "lead astray by the wiles of a dwarven/elven madman," so it's not as unique as Sera's where she has totally different comments based on your race. :(

The closest Cassandra gets is actually something Bull says: "Seems you have a thing for qunari men after all!"

#7 - Be sure to report back to Corporal Vale to end the overall quest. This one bit me during my first campaign.

Quite a few of my pet peeves have been mentioned already, but here's one that hasn't:

I miss having my PC flirted with. It bothered me that she was the one that always had to initiate flirting. I am totally biased, but my Inquisitor is a perfect 10 dang it! Will somebody please acknowledge that?!

Maybe when she becomes Inquisitor people are too intimidated to flirt with her? I suppose that would make sense...

Solas flirts with Lavellan in their early flirts.  True, you have to click on the heart icon but the dialouge comes off much more as him flirting with her.

And Sera on Qunari ladies: 'woof'

Fennecs running into my grappling chain.

It must be some kind of law of nature in Thedas. Wherever there's a grappling chain, there's a fennec, ready to run into it. I swear, the fleabags are the lemmings of Thedas, dying more often to that kind of accident than even nugs and their famed inexpertise at survival.

Even now I can hear their yip-yip, lurking just at the corner of my vision, ready to go into a suicidal sprint as soon as I target an enemy... grrgh...

My peeve is while your main charcater is conversing with another character there are no adequate responses; example: I am conversing with Viviene and she askes "Why I was at the conclave?"... my answer choices include  "I think mages should be free", "I support the Chantry"; ect cetra. That does not answer the question why I was at the conclave. The same thing happens in conversations with Cole, Varric and Cullen.

My pet peeve's are 2 very simple things. Chancellor Rode rice's arm going through Cole's hat in the Chantry. I just laugh at now and my Inquisitor getting stuck a pebble. How does that even happen??? I have to keep jumping just get over an insignificant rock.

Pebbles and roots are also my bane. However, this reflects realism so well, and is very immersive to me; reminds me of my own hikes in forests and mountainous wilderness terrain.

How about when two people are standing next to each other with a large gap between them and you can't run between them. It's like there's a magical force-field up and you have to go around them.

Speaking of Dwarf ladies. Every time I went into enemy group combated the camera view would zoom in so all I saw was chest and was never sure I actually hit anything.

My pets of peevish-ness:

1. That annoying "fly buzzing" sound in the Exalted Plains.

2. The fact that Cassandra stands like she has a load in her pants.

3. The NPCs who yell, "BLAAAAAAA!" before running into battle.

4.  I really hate how fire is handled.  Things are on fire and they just sort of.....stay on fire.

5.  The soldiers of the Inquisition who bear the mark of the Inquisition (hairy eyeball) on their butts and groins.

Oh......and the stupid Chantry head gear.

Unfortunately, it only covers codices missed in closed locations - like Haven once you reach Skyhold or the Fade.

That store in Val Royeaux mocks me. I'd love the option to buy any available codex - especially since Trespasser locks you out of other content.

Gah- this separated from the quote. See post one above. I really shouldn't try to reply on the forums from my phone.

When Varric was upset about evil Hawke sacrificing, really she was evil. The worst things you can do in the game she did it.

Varric is an odd one. You can be cruel to him in DA2 and he still loves you. You can do bad things in DAI and get a small lecture from him, but he smiles proudly at the end when climb the stairs to address everyone after Cory is gone. He just doesn't get affected by anything in a drastic way. Not even his brother or Bianca. Only 2 times he lost control a bit was when he killed Gascard without my permission and wanted to keep the red lyrium and snapped at me when I stopped him.

Doesn't Dorian have separate comments for all the races? I don't know what they all are (other than the human), but I've seen things here and there on the forums.

After the huge blowback they got from people angsting over being flirted with by Anders I rather doubt they will do this again.

I think it would be an interesting dynamic if they could get it to work well. In DAI there were instances where your PC flirted with, and was turned down by, whichever NPC. But as far as I know none of those were done in a mean way, more along the lines of, "I'm sorry, I'm not really interested." So, why can't the player have similar options? Aside from the disapproval points, I think one of the reasons that turning down Anders bothered people was because of Hawke's tone.

It would be an interesting way to further differentiate the LIs from each other. Some people are flirty, and some aren't, and I think this should be reflected. But please don't make me feel like a total a-hole just because I didn't want to give someone the wrong idea.

^Dorian has a couple, but they're not romance-specific. Same with Josephine. It's not quite the same as the wholly different vibe of Sera's romance, depending on your race.
