When you side with the Mages, you can find Fiona in the Library

next to Dorian

who shares the same name as the Orlesian Noble who sexually abused her when she was younger

and both Dorians owned slaves when Fiona herself, from a young age, was a slave (specifically a slave to the Orlais Dorian who sexually abused her) before coming into her Magic.

Like no doubt she suffers from PTSD from being a slave and an abuse victim so the developers place her in the same place with a slave owner with the same name as her abuser?

Speaking of, why did they feel the need to redesign the chantry robes yet again after DA2? The DA2 look was fine.

Chantry robes...yeah, those weren't broke; they shouldn't have been fixed.

6) The stupid cliff/hill thing you have to climb/jump around on to get the shards near the dragon in the Hinterlands. UGH! Never successfully been able to do it.

That shard makes me want to hang every Bioware developer who thought that was a good idea by their thumbs from the rocks below it. Same thing with that stupid shard in the Exalted plains up on the roof. THAT WAS NOT FUN, BIOWARE!!!!!

Question: Is it possible to hit the shards with a Grappling Chain ability? I have not used these talents, but these could present a solution if viable.

Hah how very Legend of Zelda of you! But no, you can't.

... Wtf seriously?! That has to be an oversight on David Gaider's part, considering he wrote the damn novel. Unless he did realize it but thought that "Dorian" fit the DAI follower so well that he decided to roll with it anyway.

And technically Dorian himself doesn't own slaves in the main game, his family does. (Although now I imagine he actually does own them since his father died, leaving him the heir. But what he did with them after coming into their possession is anybody's guess.)

Personally, I choose to RP those moments at the War Table as a trickle down order that ends up in the arms of some poor recruit, and he goes around the immediate safely guarded area to gather an armful of materials. As for ore, the Inq is not mining these resources himself, but is marking the various nodes to be mined by said recruits.

However, using a shop and purchasing materials is a viable option; know of those that prefer this method.

Even though I harvest religiously, I still spend a fortune buying herbs, but then I upgrade all my tonics which then require extra herbs.

Dorian doesn't fit the personality of Fiona's abuser, besides not even being from Orlais.

But, besides technicalities like that, in case his name wasn't picked at random, I think there could be a better reason for Dorian to be meters away from Fiona (if you side with the mages.)

From my own experience with PTSD and other issues (that are absolutely unnecessary to mention,) sometimes it's actually therapeutic to start relating triggering factors from the past to new, pleasant, and harmless things/people/words/names/places/etc. It's an effective way to overcome such issues, and it worked wonders for me (though it takes time, of course.)

So, maybe, Fiona and Dorian being steps away wouldn't be bad for her at all. She could start relating his name to someone pleasant that seeks to end corruption in his homeland, and that sets a good example of what a mage (and person) should be, instead to someone that hurt her beyond words.

Dorian could actually be helping her heal unknowingly...

My one biggest peeve is that in cut-scenes my lady Inquisitors walk, sit and stand like dudes. The worst instance of this was spa day with Vivienne. There was Vivienne with her legs crossed in a lady-like and dignified manner in public, and what's my girl doing? Spreading 'em like she's airing her non-existent plums  <_<

Please Bioware, please stop making us share the male characters animations.

ETA

Oh, and the shoulder hunch/slump. One would've hoped that spa day would've helped relieve whatever back troubles the poor thing had been suffering from all game, but nope.

That's a good pojnt, although maybe Dorian shouldn't bring up that argument how slaver can be better than poverty around her. Though to be fair that conversation with him has him questioning that stance in the first place.

The constant reminder by the Brother Genitivi codexs my canon Inquisitor picks up in all areas, is my Warden was the one who skanked the hell outta him bringing an end to his explorations and life. Brother Genitivi was pretty much the Tomb Raider of the DA universe.

Poor guy...

Welcome to consolization.

Ah, come on, don't be mean, controllers are the reason some of us can play on something more than casual. Trying to keyboard my way through a game is frustrating torture.

Mod for silencing the requisition officer available at Nexus (file TMM Requisition Officer No Comments.) You'll need to have one active requisition for the current map you're in so she won't bother you anymore.

On the PS4 at least: when you tint armor with Silk Broacade it cranks the brightness on the metal parts of the armor way too much. I look like Sebastian in some cases.

Trivial- I'd say when Solas is having his cup of tea, and the cup is floating two or three inches away from his hand as he is making the hand motion to drink it.

Can I list 'the general treatment of Fiona by the writers in general'?

If it makes you feel any better it's implied he's dead no matter what by the events of DAI.

Okay, I have a single, extremely trivial (it doesn't affect the game or the story) pet peeve that I've wanted to share. Every time it occurs in the game, I clench my teeth in frustration. It's this.

For some reason, everyone in the game walks like they are either a 1) gorilla, or 2) are experiencing severe stomach cramps. In other words, they are hunched over, their shoulder rounded. Dorian, as he walks away from his father, demonstrates this, but everyone else seems to have the same issue from my Inquisitor down to the grunts. I want to scream STAND UP STRAIGHT!  (Told you it was trivial.)

So what about you?  What is your single, most trivial, most annoying pet peeve about the game.

Remember:

1. It must be trivial.

2. It must annoy the heck out of you whenever it happens, and,

3. If you can think of one, give an example.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

Returning from the fade, either Alistair or Stroud does this thing, it looks like they dislocated their shoulder or something, annoys the hell out of me. It used to happen a lot in Origins too, an annoyance that never goes away!

The silly punching motion the Inquisitor makes with the right hand after closing a rift with the left hand. What exactly is that supposed to be anyway?

The Inquisitor is breaking connection when the rift is sealed? That's what I think.

I've played through the intro/tutorial half a hundred times by now. I don't need the game to teach me how to spend skill points, how to place an AoE, or whatever else anymore. Wtb skip tutorial button, pst.

It's always looked to me like there are various push/pull forces being exerted on the Inquisitor when they are closing a rift. So, when it finally closes everything snaps back to normal and the right arm juts forward to counterbalance the movement of the left arm. It seems natural to me.

Thanks! If it is any consolation, even I am able to perform this menial task for the rewards offered. I am more perturbed by the jumping puzzles connected to the Bottles of Thedas collections, as I though I would be able to skip them after the first campaign. But thanks to the inclusion of the new items, I am playing Lemmings all over again in the hope of finding new gear....

When I'm running away from a bear or a giant or whatever and my companions just stand still, watching me desperately try to get the beast lost instead of attacking it even when I run right by their side. For Andraste's sake, someone attack the beast, your Inquisitor is getting killed here!

The lack of usefull console commands

And the fact the my inquisitor scream as if she had just killed Cory itself when it was only a poor fennec. Again. And again. And again. Gez, I'm playing a psychopath!

Biggest pet peeve = the horrific background hum in the Exalted Plains. Seriously...that sound makes me feel gross and I have to play the damned area in bursts while gritting my teeth. Ruins some really dramatic moments in that region.  Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Continously check Nexus for a mod that removes or replaces it.  But it doesn't seem to bother many others, so I suffer alone!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :P
