I've finished DA2 with an imported save from DA: O and I don't remember ever seeing King Alistair (who wedded Anora).  I've read this is in Act 3 but I don't remember seeing the quest ever showing up.  What did I miss?

My King Alistair married my human noble so it won't be quite the same as him marrying Anora except for the part where Alistair is UGLY! Can't emphasize that enough. He's not as ugly as the DA2 Zevran but close. In fact, my King Alistair looked a lot like the bartender at the Hangman. 

 

You should google the youtubes that show the different King Alistair playthroughs so you can hear all the funny things he says and you'll also get to see Teagan having to put up with Alistair.

Youtube!!! LOL!   Is there a special requirement to get the King Alistair quest?  I'm planning a second playthrough to experience it.  Definitely going to Youtube some of that stuff though.

I youtube everything...I don't want to miss anything.   As far as I know he just has to be King to see that version. Not sure. There is also a Warden Alistair version where he shows up towards the end of the game. 

 

If you have Isabela in the party, King Alistair remembers her from DOA.

Question.  Alistair appears at the end of Act 2 with the wardens even if he's king, right?

Alistair will appear as a warden if he's not king but won't appear with the wardens if he is king, instead he will appear with Teagan (if I'm remembering correctly...played the game tons but not since DAI has come out).

Well, that's not what happened in my first playthrough.  I double checked the save and that Alistair became king of Ferelden but he appeared with the Wardens and Bethany.  I probably did something wrong and that King Alistair did not show up.  Hmm...

In order to get the meeting with King Alistair, there should be a letter for you waiting at home requesting the meeting. All you have to do is read the letter.

You read the letter and then you'll find him in the Viscount's keep arguing with Meredith. It's late in the game in Act 3 if I recall. Just befoer the Bleep hits the fan between the mages and templars

He can also appear as a drunkard if you spare Loghain and he didn't marry Anora

Thanks for the responses!  I don't remember seeing a letter from him.  I do remember seeing the letter from Orsino asking about mages on the loose.  I must've missed the letter or the letter didn't appear. 

 

I was looking forward to his cameo and it just never happened.  I then thought it would be a post-Meredith situation like in DA: O where they'd ask what you want to do once the dust settled.  Then, that never happened.  So... hmm... I must've missed the letter... maybe, or maybe I never did go to the Viscount Keep...

I used that mod too and a bunch of others...I love the music among other things...brings back all the good memories of DAO.

I think that he is more cool as GW both in DA2 and in DAI,if i want his precence in the sequel (non dead Alistair version) it will be with GW cameo
