Am I supposed to not be able to save during "Reclaiming the Thaig"? I've gotten as far as the ogres before my whole entire party died and I got sent back to the beginning. Is this just part of the quest, not being able to save even when there are no battles? I'm playing on casual (too lame to go higher tbh). Sorry if this is common knowledge, I just really started playing this DLC and can't find any answers for it.

That section where you fight waves of darkspawn with some alphas of each type I believe the game puts you in combat constantly so until you reach the end and it auto-saves I don't think you can mark progress.

Oh darn. Thanks.
I have to start over again anyway because an ogre flew into the air and off the map. Love that.

Know them feels. Mine got stuck up on a pillar; needless to say it wasn't wise to have only one ranged character while there were endlessly spawning hordes.

I had no idea where my ogre went. There was a faint red dot on the compass, but he was nowhere to be seen.
Anyway, it is supposed to autosave, right? Mine isn't. Welp. Guess I have to try doing this in one go when I'm in the right state of mind.

There is no autosave point after the point where you enter the darkspawn den. I found it really helpful to quicksave after dealing with the hurlock alphas on the bridge, since it's really the only spot where combat dies down.

It isn't letting me quicksave, which is a problem.

I know that feel. My game crashed to desktop while I was striking the final blow to the 2nd Ogre.
And it was my first crash ever, after 500+ hours of gameplay... ![]()

I really don't understand why game developers think it's a good idea to have long stretches where you can't save - especially if they cannot guarantee that the game won't crash, or an enemy won't drop off the map, or end up stuck in a spot it can't be reached, thus stopping progress. I've always found such enforced no-save zones to be nothing but an annoyance, and an occasional source of aggravation, when a game glitch forces you to go back to a save WAAAAY back.

Haven't played it yet but it sounds aggrevating. Best team? Best level?

I managed to get through it with my level 21 ice mage, Dorian, Sera, and Iron Bull. I used Sera the whole time, though. The "A Thousand Cuts" ability saved my life on this one.

The Darkspawn Mooks stopped spawning for me once. During the "Kill 2 Genlock Alphas" portion.
Took me a bit to find them, too (during which I COULD save)...
