Probably the most who played with a female character in DA:Origin noticed the sexism there are, like the conversation with Sten, and the horrible dialogue in the joining: "I'm the bravest here and I'm a woman!"
And how every NPC surprise when you are a female Grey Warden

But now in the inquisition the female character gets everything!

Maybe not the best in good looking, but they got the best romances!

Don't consider Iron Bull and Josephine because they are bisexuals, but the women has 4 romances and the men just 2!

The worst of this is the epilogue, of course Solas and Blackwall hasn't the best ending, but Cullen and Sera even you can marry them and life happy ever after!

The men has just 3 finals, Cassandra divine, she breaks up with you. Cassandra no divine, she prefers the seeker than you, and the strange romance with Dorian.

Why the male character can't get married?

I see this as a childish revenge for how the females was in DA:O, but why the FemInquisitor get three happy ever after and the MaleInquisitor only is happy with Josephine?

It's really awful. (I'm not saying the male romances sucks, there are a lot of threads to this, I'm saying the epilogues are made for the players with female character)

Feminism isn't about women having the best of anything, but everyone having the same equal opportunities. However, when you say "everything" you're specifically referring to the quantity of romance options.

 

Gameplay and storyline-wise, the game treats you equally regardless of the gender of your character. So yes, it's feminist, and I'm personally glad it is, just as it's nice to see the armor not looking like a bikini on female Inquisitors.

 

There's elements of fantastic racism though, that can be experienced mostly by Elven Inquisitors.

Agreed. I also like the fact that some characters may not want to get married at all (Iron Bull kindly refused, for example), just as they have their own sexual orientations that the Inquisitor has no choice but to respect (like in real life.)

I don't need a wedding in a game to complete my romance story.  I was actually surprised Bioware offered these in the first place.  It was a nice touch.  My Dalish even got to exchange Dalish vows with Cullen, but it wasn't necessary.  I was content just to know they were together, something Solas mancers (female only) won't get, no matter what they choose.  So would you then say Bioware was "unfair to Dalish elf Solas lovers"?  Of course not, it's silly to get that bent out of shape over a romance in a game.

Romance is a sideline, not the main body of the story.  And all you took from Inquisition was "boohoo, lady inquisitors got to marry Cullen and Sera."?

 

I made a male inquisitor to romance Dorian and am in the middle of my run with the Cass romance.  I really enjoyed both, and I prefer playing as a female since I am one, but if I need to make a certain gender to play them I will.

 

It's a video game, not real life.  Stop feeling all 'oppressed' and put upon and go outside, get some fresh air.  Go meet some actual people and have fun and stop obsessing over what you don't have in a video game world.

Female characters - as distinct from female players - get two of the potentially happiest romances (Cullen and Sera) but also one definite heartbreaker (Solas) and one that ends badly unless the player makes a very specific series of choices (Blackwall). They share a happy romance (Josephine) and a potentially sad romance (Iron Bull) with male characters. Meanwhile, male characters get one bittersweet option (Dorian) and one that could be happy or bittersweet depending on how it plays out (Cassandra.)

 

The worst thing that can happen in the Dorian and Cassandra romances is breaking up or being physically separted but still in love. Meanwhile, Solas turns out to be the next Big Bad and leaves you destroy the Veil. There's a possible happy end with Blackwall if you can get past his crimes and lying, but only if you get him out of prison and set him free with no conditions. (If you force him to serve the Inquisition he breaks up with you, if you send him to the Grey Wardens he dies.)

 

Across the series as a whole, I think it's pretty even. Alistair and Sebastian can put the character through some rather traumatic permanant break-ups, while the Warden's separation from Morrigan is only temporary.
