So I was working on the weekend challenge and as I was going through treasure rooms I had multiple people (multiple lobbies) of people upset with me going to treasure rooms. They were on their mic and said, "I'm not doing treasure rooms" (or something to that effect).

 

Some jerk was even trolling me by pulling us to the next zone as I killed the enemy(ies) of the room before I can open the chest.

 

 

I also had 2 separate lobbies where some person would run into the transition room ahead of everyone else and open the next zone door without getting the health pot thing as multiple people were at half health forcing them to go into the next zone with half health (new transition so we can't just go back and get it). These people not getting the health pot thing also didn't like us going into treasure rooms.

 

 

The first time it happened I was kinda shocked because I hadn't really experienced that before but when I got the other person complaining and generally not being a team player I was ready. I'm playing Virtuoso and spent a lot of time keeping the other 2 teammates at close to full health (barrier + sing along) in Zone 4. These other 2 players were not very good. In the past zones I was trying to get barrier on everyone including the jerk. So now the jerk is the one at half health and I fast beats, run past the jerk open the door and hit the zone 5 transition so now he's the one at half health.

 

Zone 5: I run off to find some enemies to kill and I'm staying nearby to help allies. The 2 not very good players have already used up their revives so once they go down they're down. I'm off hunting nugs when I see the come here beacon from the jerk who didn't let me get treasure rooms or get the health pot for the 2 struggling teammates. He's not doing so well and is trying to run to me. I start making my way to him and as I get close he goes down. First time he fell all match. I didn't even teabag. I just played music over his dying body. Druffy even let me dance. I suicided soon after (I wasn't going to win even if I tried) and even though we lost the match for that moment I had won. I know I won because in the next match we did he behaved. It was really weird. He opened treasure rooms but didn't touch the transition zones. And we successfully got out of there and after the results screen I crashed to desktop.

 

 

The worst part about these players was I was host because of how often I crashed to desktop as I tried to join games. They joined my game in progress (I'm not parked in the lobby waiting for people) and didn't let me open treasure rooms. Someone actually joined me in Zone 2 and decided they were in charge. 

 

Can someone help me understand the logic of not getting the health pots or not letting other players get treasure after all the enemies have been defeated?

What I don't understand is why loads of people just rush though and walk all the way back to open treasure rooms. why not just open them and you find em. Mobs will come at you anyway.

I ran into some high promotion players speeding through threatening just to get the challenge done. So I gave myself the challenge to collect all the gold before he can open the transition door. It is what it is. I think there should be some broadcast to all players about all the new awesome loot (hakkon weapons, amulet of physcial immunity and so on) that you can obtain from collecting gold. If you run into someone who already has those, prepare to collect those gold as fast as if your life depends on it or leave/kick. 

 

In your case I think he may had a bad day and decided to troll? Also a ***** just to back down like that in the next match.

Also pls pls pls don't spam "come here". Even as a gold hoard I will still have the urge to abandon the treasure room if someone is spamming F4 at the door.

You were well within your rights to troll him, he joined your lobby. House rules, if you don't want to play the way the host does, leave.

Ok ok I admit. This weekend I was with some people rushing though got so pissed i waited when there were 2 mobs left before zone end.... then bam disconnect (I was host) guess what happened? -.-

Good on you, some people are just dicks, there are other ways to get them in line too, if you stick a red skull on them mid-game they can fall in line, they'll most likely look if they see you stand still for a few seconds, also, when if you send them a message saying that you want to hit treasure rooms they should either oblige or leave.

I understand the feeling, but I have been in many games where one person opens the door, and can't deal with the consequences.

 

This is particularly annoying on zones 2 and 4 (Inquisition Captain et al.). As for players who hammer f4 without looking at the radar map to check whether there is a major battle taking place elsewhere ... (do they really want to be revived only to find even more enemies just lined up to kill them again?).

 

Business (Kill 'em all!) before pleasure (Thank goodness there are three players between me and the Revenant!).

I joined a match and the player was speed running  no door no gold the 2nd the key drops they are out 

I felt a little angered at first but I remembered house rules.  I dont really appreciate my over promoted Arcane warrior  playing gold nanny but....

if I wanted to make it my house and my rules I would need to up my internet so people dont glitch walk

The group I run with (even if it is just two of us pugging) will get our own individual doors as we pass them and the others will keep pushing. If I am in a pug and see someone open a door and struggle with what is within then I will turn around, clear it out, and leave to finish up the map without killing too much time. But if I am at the end door with the key drop and they decide to backtrack....no, that slows down my gold/hr..I'm good

I have seen quite a few this Friday.  You can tell they are over geared for threatening and only there for the challenge.  One guy was actually nice and announced over the mic saying that he was planning to rush thru the matches over and over without hitting any treasure rooms unless they are free.   And if we don't like it he could leave the match.   We just end up following him along and try to hit as much treasure rooms on our own while he clears the zone.

But then they did everything you said above, except they were really anal about treasure.  When I missed one, the guy called me an idiot.  That was it for me.  I don't care if you're new, I don't care if you make stupid mistakes, I don't care if you miss all the treasure.

 

But when you start talking ****, all bets are off.  I'm not helping your sorry asses anymore.  And these morons couldn't even get through Routine!  Routine!

I still cant get through routine because I end up falling asleep..
