Everyone probably knows this by now, but in the citadel dlc one of the broken citadel archives holograms says, "year unknown, origin earth, religious artifact" is the arc of the covenant. This can only be seen if you turn around and head towards the exit door and look back. Nice touch bioware.

Da da dum dum! (That was supposed to be the Raiders March [Indiana Jones theme music] put into typing). One more reason to love this game; so many awesome references. Like the "Exhilarating, isn't it?" Star Trek reference, or Legion's "1.21 petawatts" Back to the Future reference.

I think Mordin saying such and such is "problematic" could be a Firefly reference, no?

I remember a line in ME1 where Shep says 'problematic'.  iirc, you can get it when finding the Thorian on Feros depending on which dialogue option you pick (it's either the top or middle option, but I'm not sure- it's been a while).

Then there's thing Mira (VI on Noveria) says when you reactivate her (something along the lines of, "I see you're trying to restore this facility.  Would you like help?") which I'm pretty sure is a reference to the paper clip pop-up that used to be on Microsoft Word, though I could be wrong about that.

Shout out to ME writers for making a Microsoft Word reference. I forgot about that and I think you're right.

I liked how the Renegade dialogue option was 'Crap, a pop-up.'

I wonder if Tiberius Towers is supposed to be a reference to Kirk. Shepard him/herself is, of course, a reference to Alan Shepard, who voices the Stargazer at the end (it took till about my third playthrough to discover this fact!).

And I love the Dante Inferno references in the Hades Gamma cluster.

It's actually Buzz Aldrin as the voice of Stargazer. Alan Shepard died in 1998.

It's my favorite dialogue wheel text of the series. :D A shame Shep doesn't actually say it when you click it.

Joker is also just a big bag of references, with everything from Hunt for Red October ("only way they're gonna detect us is if we all start singing the Russian  national anthem.") to multiple 2001 Space Odyssey references and much more. The guy must really have a passion for late 20th and early 21st century pop culture. ;)

You're right! The "singing daisy bell" reference. And when he's unshackling EDI, referencing how they're going to end up organic batteries (Matrix) and spend all day computing pi.

I just got Grunt to reference the "fight for your right to party" comment when he's guarding the door during the party. Later, in the shower, he does another Back to the Future reference when says, "Are you talking to me? Are you sure you're talking to me?" line.

imo, it makes sense since his VA is Seth Green (who voices Chris on Family Guy, and there's tons references in that, regardless of how old they are).  Honestly, I don't think BW could've picked a better VA for Joker.   :P

I think Legion might have some references too, but I'm not entirely sure...
