I too have slowed down the promoting, big time. Running FC speed runs for 2+ months didn't help either.

Cunning is wasted after 200 but I still need Alchy and SS runs for the 250/250 completion challenge

Yeah, people were promoting four times faster than me, getting to level 20 in two peri games. Maybe I wouldn't be pushing one thousand, but I could have a hundred or two more than now.
Well, if there is to be more content, fixes and more fun to be had, maybe I can get there.... one distant day.
