There is only one race option.  Ancient Elf.  The only PC voice?  Outrageously Orlesian.  Masks are compulsory, even in cutscenes especially sex scenes.  The story is linear, and you can't ever betray your saviour Solas.  All dialogue ends with a statement on how the Elves did it first.  The only non-elves who survive Solas' tearing down the veil are the Orlesian nobility, who the elves keep around for tips on fashion and distinguished speech.

You can, and ZITHER! is at the foot of the bed to provide mood music and a 10 minute increased movement speed buff.

Nothing was really stopping you from picking up arcane warrior.
You could just pour your stats into str for the lulz anyway.

Make the ocularum talk and mock us for being dumb enough to look for shards. Since companion banter is so rare they could add ocularum banter to mock us whenever we are doing useless fetch quests.

 

Think of the joy they would express that their forced demon possession and beheading were used for the noble purpose of finding more shards, bottles, and lost livestock which the Inquisition needs to save Thedas with.

• Return to "real is brown" with a vengeance.  All armour and blood and trees and grass are brown, orange, or yellow.  Bill it as gritty realism.  
• All companions are the characters from Varric's novels - not the people he based them on, but the over-the-top versions.  Everything is narrated in film noir, not as a one-off for a single mission or DLC but the whole game.
• Have a companion voice by Tommy Wiseau.  When battle ends, he says "Fight is over."
• Reveal that the whole series is just a dream by a small child living in our world.  At the end, he gets up, looks up at the stars, and goes back to sleep to dream a stinger for DA5.
• All in-battle death is permanent.  Any character who dies against any random ram or druffalo is removed from the party.  Bill that as gritty realism.
• Cross-over with Mass Effect, not as a single comic moment, but a serious extended quest.  All Mass Effect characters are voiced and written by different people than the originals based on only vague descriptions of the original game.  Takes place post ME-3, but Shepard is alive and well and cheerfully paragon regardless of choices.  Include a speech about the power of friendship.
• Item degradation, single use each.  Bill it as gritty realism.
• Mages get their power from midi-chlorians.
• Every romance - and every step of every romance - is barred by microtransactions.  The game comes with a credit-card swiper for every conversation.
