Oh, for valor....what upgrades should I put on it?

If you are low on promotes put increased crit chance and attack on Valor (should be +16% each).
Heart of Pride can be liberally applied to all mages, but shines exceptionally on Saarebas.
Winter pact belt is iffy. You might be able to get away with it using a Spirit mark + ice damage necro build, but its otherwise not that useful.
As for Superb cooldown amulet, it really depends what other options you have available.

The cooldown amulet benefits classes that have high cooldown times. If you are feeling like you are spending too much time waiting for your cooldowns, put that amulet on.

I would just put as much crit chance on as I could. Using a Firm Pommel and a Firm Greatsword Grip, you can get +22% crit chance and +6% attack.
I also have a superb ring of armor penetration, but I've AP isn't all that hot...does it have any use?
It's fairly useful on dagger-wielding rogues.

Oh, good. Snakebite's on here. Your response, SB, is not what I would have expected. After you worked so hard to get it, I'd have expected more venom in your response at knowing someone just pulled it from a chest.

OP, do you know how much did you spend on chests so far? I also just happened to get really good with unique items in my last batch of chest. I looked at my wealth and saw that I have gotten just under 300k. So I am guess the first tier of loot score had been reached or something. So it will be about 1000 items.

Upgrade for Hakkon's Valor:
Firm Greatsword Grip:
6 Great Bear Hide / 3 Everite = +11% Critical Chance, +5% Attack
That's an easy choice. Best grip.
Now the Pommel is preference, depending on whether you have Superb Life Drain rings to equip(+10% HOK rings)
If you need the extra HOK go with this:
Ornate Pommel:
4 Imperial Vestment Cotton / 2 Everite = +8% HOK, +4% Attack
If you don't need extra HOK, go with this:
Etched Pommel or Spiked Pommel:
6 Everite / 3 Great Bear Hide = +11% Attack, 5% Critical Chance
If you are low-promoted don't use the the winter-pact belt. If you don't have a Hakkon's Wisdom(Staff) I'd probably put the Heart of Pride on all my mages. Do you have a Superb Amulet of Renewal? If not Superb Cooldown Amulet becomes quite useful on the following:
Keeper / Necro / Elementalist / Arcane Warrior

No good cloth grips for greatswords
I agree with Kalgerion, attack and crit (firm greatsword grip).
I have stagger instead of attack, but only because of my huge willpower. Stagger is nice on reavers.
This will make you rely on rings for Heal on Kill but it gives you the best total.
Armor penetration: Very good for rogues on nightmare but mind that many rogues can sunder with abilities or critical hits.
Not very good for 2handed warriors on any mode.

Saarebas you probably want to use Willpower or Cunning.
Stamina Amulet on all rogues and warriors.

I'd probably roll with Renewal over Cooldown amulet on all the mages that consume mana.
Saarebas you probably want to use Willpower or Cunning.
Stamina Amulet on all rogues and warriors.
Not everyone gets that much use out of Flow of Battle.

All? Really? I use a cunning amulet on all my rogues. What do you have to say about that?!
Not everyone gets that much use out of Flow of Battle.
Only warriors (including the Silent Sister) have Flow of Battle. You know what else all those characters have? Deep Reserves. Increasing your maximum stamina means you will have an increase in stamina regeneration at a higher stamina value (namely 75 instead of 50) and more stamina to use. If you are using characters with abilities with low cooldown times or high stamina costs (or both), this amulet is really handy. I use it on my Legionnaire, Templar, Avvar, and Katari.

I thought Deep Reserves just increased the pitiful auto-regeneration of warriors and rogues and did nothing for your hits.
You either have Flow of Battle, Opportunity Knocks or really fast cooldowns (assassin) to justify the amulet.
My Ice Giant avvar had that amulet, but I either had too much stamina or too many untriggered abilities. It was just switching problems.
