I am starting to wonder if the nastiest part of your Inquisition was the Inquisitor himself...

He seems to have a weird obsession for his advisors.
Hmmmm

Well in comparable medieval times they just didn't shave often, wash often or even use sanitary pads. Even brassieres are a modern innovation, in fact toilet paper was not used back then.

The only one of those elements BioWare implemented was the lack of bra's. It's especially obvious with Morrigan.

no bras in medieval times, if you could afford it maybe some linen breeches, but mostly they went out and about commando (at least the women). Your linen underdress was all you really needed. For men, they wore breeches fastened with a belt and you could attach your pants legs to it, if you had money to afford fabric that is.

Malnutrition, hard physical work and earlier menopause had a significant impact on how often the period showed up and how strong it was. It's not like today's menstruation at all.

And why do people think that you need a bathtub to keep up with hygiene standards? You really only need a rag and a bowl with water. Soap helps, they probably have lye in Thedas, they have lard as well .. so you're basically there already.

As for the bathtub, a wooden one works just fine (and would be historically accurate) Big enough for 6+ people. Rinse yourself off before you step in and it will be good for half a day.

You can make soap from animal fat and ashes.

Hello...there is magic in Thedas. I'm sure that would improve a lot of things when it comes to personal hygiene.
You could fill a thimble full of five drops of hot water, enlarge it until it's the size of a tub, take your bath, shrink it back down and toss out the dirty water. Instant portable tub. Also makes cleaning the tub a lot easier. :P

As far as soap goes, Thedas has it.  Confirmed.  Remember Wynne wanting to bathe Dog and remarking how she has some soap in her bag?  And there was also Oghren's bar of soap that you could use to clean the blood off of you after a battle if you didn't want your dog to lick you clean.

Sanitary napkins:  Well obviously yes a "sanitary napkin" is a modern thing, but ancient ladies did, in some places, use little pouches that you could put moss and other absorbent stuff into, among other options.

Ahem 600 years ago is Renaissance not medieval. Also i was referring to Brassieres with actual support not just coverage.

I don't consider 600 years ago "modern". You said modern innovation. I wasn't arguing medieval or renaissance. And a quote from the article:

'One of the bras “looks exactly like a (modern) brassiere,” Hilary Davidson, fashion curator for the London Museum'

Maybe not the one pictured.

There's also the "Soap on a string" gift in Awakening I think it was?

Enchanted clothes that scrub away all grime, dirt, bacteria, etc. while working. This is also how all those blood stains suddenly disappear.

All Inquisition members are outfitted with such clothes, for efficiency and such. However, baths are still relaxing and Josie likes a more upper class lifestyle.

Nah man, haven't you played Origins? It's the dogs who lick the blood off.

I recently discovered where Bull sleeps (not a pretty room) and wonder wtf everyone else sleeps. We have 3 empty bedrooms most likely for guests, but the companions all seem to sleep dismantled rooms with holes, busted beds, no ceilings, moss and dirt and that's just unhealthy.

This,i mean Cassandra sleep on a bedroll in the blacksmith/armoury when there are empty rooms she could of taken and Cullen must be freezing his ****** off with a room open to the sky.

Cassandra sleeps on the top floor of the armory. It's not luxurious by any means, but it's not bad.

I assume Cullen sleeps on the floor above his office. Sucks for him because there are holes in his roof.

The "Sera Was Never" song mentions Sera living in the tavern, so I suppose she sleeps in the room with all her stuff in it.

Cole might not need to sleep, just like he doesn't need to eat.

I think Blackwall sleeps above the stable? I think there's a bed up there.

As for the others, I assume they either sleep in the valley with the Inquisition soldiers, or there are parts of Skyhold we don't see. There's a door in the garden (next to the room with the eluvian in it) that can't be opened, maybe that leads down to more rooms. There are also bedrolls in the quartermaster's building.

There are some small bedrooms on one of the upper levels. You access it via an outside door from the ramparts. I can't remember how to get there though, Skyhold always gets me turned around.

The bedrooms aren't anything awe-inspiring, but could be where other people sleep.

Sera and the Inquisitor have the nicest places. Bull and Cullen like to sleep without roofs over their heads lol and I would assume Solas sleeps on that couch and Dorian? I have no idea. Hopefully one of the rooms.

Hahah XD I hope they don't sleep naked.

Imagine Solas sleeping naked on that couch, and the Inquisitor decides to go speak to Cullen passing by Solas' place and.. well.

Sera can lock her door. Cullen also, although he might be a bit cold but at least he has a proper bed with covers and such.

The others really puzzle me.. there are 9 party members plus 3 advisors, so if we take Bull, Cullen, Solas (?), Cassandra, Blackwall, Vivienne (has a sort of couch), Sera, Cole for obvious reasons.. that leaves Leliana, Dorian, Josie and Varric.. No idea where these would sleep :P

Plus of course the rest of the people in the keep. Imho they just sleep on the ground.
