Yesterday I was working with my custom module in the Toolset - everything way fine, I saved it and I closed it. Today I loaded the module and the were no areas, scripts, creatures, conversations, nothing. I have a backup save, but it's a month old. Is there a way retrieve my latest version???

If it's a .mod file, try opening it using Tani's NWN2packer.  You can pull the files out and move them into a folder of your choice, and if desired you can create a new .mod file with the same tool and put the files into it, or move them into a directory mode module.

Didn't work :\ When I open the directory the files start loading, then the toolset kinda snaps and there's no files. I also noticed that most of the files have 0 bytes...

I tried exporting/importing the files with .erf, but I only got 4 first areas - those are in the backup save. Then an error popped up. I guess the rest is corrupted.

Did it open fine with NWN2packer, and only failed after you performed your salvage operations there and then later attempted to open the repaired one in the toolset?  Or did it show 0 byte files in NWN2packer?

In the packer the files show +0 bytes. After exporting them as raw files I see 0 in the windows explorer. When I try import them into the module in any way the toolset freaks out.

Well, I'm sad to say that seems to confirm that those files are lost and irretrievable.  All I can suggest at this point is to make more frequent backups.

Hard luck, Jestemwlodek. I've been burned that way a few times, so I make sure I back up my work at least once a week; preferably more when I'm making a lot of changes.

Directory mode, not module mode.

I now make a backup before beginning every session with the tool set. I've also started keeping a change log so I can keep track of what I've changed or fixed already.
