I remember being frustrated that my tank would not engage enemies by himself. Someone suggested to use follow self to solve this. It worked but I now have the same problem again (not sure why). When in stealth, moving to a group of enemies, my tank and party will not attack until I exit stealth. It has become a chore to swap to my tank to manually start the battle each time. Not only that, it seems my party is suddenly able to stand very close to hostiles before they engage. As if the aggro radius of my companions are reduced.

Is this a bug? Patch? Using blackwall if it matters. I just want my party and my tank in particular to engage any nearby enemy on sight. Currently when I'm stealthed I have to swap and engage then swap back to my rogue and its driving me nuts.

This is a problem that has been around a long time. If your IQ is in Stealth, the rest of the party stands around doing nothing, regardless of how you set up their AI.

There is a simple fix. Switch to your tank, point them at a target, then switch to the next character, do the same, etc. Your IQ should go last. Or you can go first, it doesn't really matter. Just don't expect the party to do anything unless you tell them. Tactical is good for this too, if timing is critical, like you are setting up a combo.

Once the combat is started, though, any character on Follow Self will do just fine, you won't have to micro manage them further, even if you are in stealth. Unless they get hit by the other "stand and do nothing until you jump them" bug.

One other idea. If you are in Stealth and don't want to micro their first attack, target some enemy (golden reticle) and then use the Attack My Target command. That ought to be enough to get them going.

I'm lazy and on my archer I usually open combat with leaping shot with the "go into stealth afterwards" upgrade. That does the trick

This. I use Attack My Target to start most fights. Works out really well most of the time.
