Does anyone know if the health lost in the poison fog is percentage based or fixed value? I was using the storm pact belt and as I was running to the torch(a very short distance) I lost almost half my health. It seems that the health lost is a fixed value? If so I should be really really careful from now on using elemental pact during the veil fire event.

unless your using the AW I wouldn't use the pact belt anymore, everyone else dies to fast since the barrier is so tiny when you don't have much hp, aw however can normally build his weak barrier faster than the mobs can drop it because of the increased damage, making him back into the barrier tank he used to be :)

Sorry what? Since when did barrier depended on hp of the character?

And back on topic: I think veil fire poisons u for 1-2% hp per tick so it doesn't matter how much hp you have

I remember thinking it was health based but then I read that the master's weapon is a factor or something. Perhaps it depends on both unit hp and caster weapon damage.

It's about 1-2% a sec

And no, barrier is based off your staff damage, guard is based off health

OK I think I got it, the damage is 1-2% per tick of my original normal hp. Wearing the belt makes the tick rise up to around 8% per tick so that's why I was dying so fast. Just died trying to get to a torch in a longer distance lol.

It´s 1-2% of you actual health ... I would be dead very fast while wearing a pact belt if it were 1-2% of original health :D

Hmm I must be playing a very strange version of the game because I always die very fast when in the fog, definitely way faster than before and than other players in the same team. I haven't encountered anyone wearing the belt in the same team under veil fire mission though so I can not confirm if it is just me.

I only played about 6 matches since it came back, but it seems to me that it is much less deadly this time.  Maybe they are a fixed number of HP per tick and I now have a lot more hp then before?   Most of the matches I just do my own thing outside of the torch until the fog is cleared and I lost only about 20% hp.

If I remember correctly I built the event to reduce the players' Current Health by a percentage of their Maximum Health every x seconds. I'm not sure how items such as the belt were setup afterwards, so it's possible there is some hidden voodoo that is messing with the intended behavior of the event. It's been awhile since I looked at the scripting but I'll open up the logic and confirm.

Makes sense. The pact belts reduce Health by  0.75 * health max
