I've recently been throwing lancer on any kit that it makes sense on, and now I hit the asari justicar; my favorite adept, and it's not the fury.

This is what I have so far. The goal is instead of just pumping my reave full of steroids, I use it + warp ammo on lancer to make shorter work of hardened targets and mooks alike (solo biotic explosions on bosses as a justicar isn't the safest thing to do anyway).

Two parts I'm hung up on:

-Shortened cooldown on reave by what seems to be .3 seconds, or damage reduction?

-Should I take pull at all with my aforementioned setup's goal in mind? Fitness does seem tempting, especially with reave, and biotic sphere in mind, and stability mod 3 makes the lancer so good out of cover too.

Damage Reduction on Reave. Recharge isn't worth it IMO. I also usually take 6b on Reave on the Justicar. I usually only put 3 or 4 ranks into Pull. I spec the Bubble how you have it- Radius/Debuff/Warp Effect. Equip the Raider or Venom and profit (Lancer is a wussy little pew-pew gun- the Justicar is a bad-ass lady; she uses a shotgun.. or at least a Saber if you have to use an AR).

Then again, I like to play her as an aggressive CQC kit, including against bosses. Its effective, but definitely results in the occasional sync when you get sloppy. Not necessarily for the faint of heart.

Thanks for the input on reave, though I already decided on armor + barrier damage to help with boss killing at a safer distance.

Reave does stack up to 3 times on the same target, yeah?

u clearly wont spam reave as much as u wld need 0.3 better CD on it, especially on a weapon platform.

On your build i wld skip pull, and go cqc for BEs. But if u have a defensive bubble and really want to use the lancer mostly, then pull wld be great as fitness wont be much needed.

If you go for pull I feel you need to take the acolyte

Since I've playing gold I've let go of pull. There's simply not enough occasions to make it work. On silver and bronze it's fine. And if you want to shoot reaved targets anyway with warp ammo you don't really need another power.

I skip pull, go DR on reave and take full fitness for when I like to go close and drop a bubble right on top of them.

So much this, if you spec the justicar into pull, it`s acolyte time. If you skip pull, it`s whatever gun you feel like with warp ammo

the reason why some people want recharge speed + power duration (passive) is
to have as many reave casts working at the same time as possible.

If you take armor/barrier damage it eats up banshees and pretorians really fast.

Pull without the acolyte is very "strange" in my opinion
because once you've shot the enemy long enough that the shield is gone,
the enemy is helpless anyway and you even have to watch out NOT to kill it instantly  ;)
- so I use pull only to detonate an explosion for CC.

Does reave give damage reduction against non shielded enemies? Mechs? People? Can't remember.

Personal preference, I guess. I prefer the extra 15% damage reduction, since I put 4 points in Pull, which only leaves 4 points in Fitness.

And the biotic detionations' power is the same anyways.

Plus 6b gives a 30% dmg boost against all targets and extends the effect by 30% (7.8 --> 9 sec).

I'm 6b all day, everyday.

From what it sounds like, your goal isn't to use Biotic Explosions as the bulk of your offense. If it was, .3 seconds would add up over and over again and be a good choice. In your case, it sounds like Reave/gunfire will do most of your offense, so taking the damage reduction would probably be better, and come into play more often.

I believe that it does, although the visual effect on the Justicar herself doesn't seem to show up when it is used against synthetics. From what I recall, it has been tested, and even without the visual, the DR is still applied for the duration.

You could always go 3 in pull to test it for a while. If you find you're not using it enough, go to the sixth rank in fitness. If you find it helps more than you expected, you could add more ranks.

The amount of stacking is nearly completely dependent on your duration and cooldown times.

I'm thinking of trying this on her next time;

PS - if you aren't going Crutch Scanner with Lancer, then you're much better off taking Barrage Gear for the extra stability alone.

Which is why I like to keep her reave CD around 2.5-2.7 sec...in addition to her 6b duration boost.

^ 6b duration doesn't add near enough to make up for the loss of armour & barrier dps of 6a.

Otherwise, yes, fast cooldown rate is nice. Not just for stacking, but faster combos.

Prefer the Arc Pistol or Acolyte. Rhythm and flow of both weapons are so good with Reave and Pull. You get a power amp, damage is spike moreso than sustained fire which works better with Reave spam. That of course is JMHO. Venom is the best weapon on her if you're just going to skip pull. She can make a ****** joke out of Cerberus with that thing.

You obviously won't get more damage, but the reason to consider 6b evo is the 15%DR.

The couple hundred extra DPS you might get to armor and barriers is pretty small in the grand scheme of things, and whether or not it matters will depend on your weapons and the team composition.
