maybe respect the casual gamer more please.

and im not talking about hardcore vs casual. even if i will play only a few hours per week or a month i'll play that on gold.

But they did do that by making some of the most powerfull weapons in the game rare rather than UR. You don't need to play that much to get some of the best weapons in the game up to level X.

A maxed manifest is something else, and rather a reward for those that put the time needed into the game. If everyone could max their manifest only by playing a couple of hours per week this game would never have lived this long.

Yes but that's common in many online games, especially MMO:s, they design higher difficulties for those that have the time and interest in spending a lot of time on the same game. WoW is a good example of that, you won't get to do the most challenging PVE raids or play the highest level in the PVP arena unless you dedicate a lot of time. It's a balance between hardcore and casual gamer needs, some people don't mind grinding on for a very long time on the highest challenge levels to get the best stuff while some prefer or only have the possibility to put in an hour here and there.

MEMP have that, Gold/Platinum for those that play a lot and Bronze/Silver for the more casual - what's to say that the casual should dictate the terms for those that enjoy and have the possibility to invest a lot of time? Why should that casual gamer enjoy the same rewards as the hardcore grinder? Rather make the game pointless for many.

True - in MMo's the emphasis is always on the endgame from both game developers and players. ME3MP has a much better casual/hardcore balance than most MMo's. You don't need a maxed manifest (i.e endless grinding in MMo's) to do well on platinum (and no I'm not saying this out of experience, I'm just looking at the Plat HoF thread)

The maxed manifest is the only endgame element in ME3MP. Compared to WoW and its predecessor Diablo II, 700 hours is not much to get the "best" in-game gear. And you are not haunted by Chinese gold grinders spamming every lobby.

You haven't truly maxed your manifest until all equipment are at 255, you scrub. You had it easy, then again, you had help via unorthodox ways.

The store is by far the worst aspect of the multiplayer. I could list the frustrations I've had with it, but I'm sure you've all had similar experiences. If the store just allowed you to choose what equipment/upgrades you wanted to buy, if would make the game far more enjoyable imo. If ME:A's multiplayer sticks to this archaic RNG system, I may not even bother getting the game.

Anyways, congrats Xan. Hopefully, playing platinum games with AHF will speed up the process for me.

I did, ... I spent 10€ for 3 PSP.

Got 2 UR in the fist, 1 UR in the second and non in last.

First I thought, the drop rate is much better when you spent real money, but at least I was only lucky.

What would you pay for a pack, that guaranties at least one UR?

I do not regret!

... and I'm quite sure that I wasn't on BSN at this time

Btw.: that's the only money I spent for Mass Effect 3. Downloaded it for free on PS+, ... start playing way later.

PS: I like Gary Larson

Lucky man, I still had to pay 19,99€ for me3 on PSN+. in late 2013 /early 2014 also bought 4 veteran and 2 spectre packs
ca. 22€ packs at the beginning,
...but gave up after I discovered that my lucky packets consisted of yellowed tissues; smelly badly assembled plastic toys; empty paper wrappings, and "Dang! Maybe next time" slogans.

I could almost feel a shopkeeper sitting on the other side - making fun of my gullibility, always ignoring my pleading eyes, always forgetting the previous bad hand -> Such nonchalant, alien distance to my money's worth.

One cannot help but to procrastinate buying anything,
because there is always murphy's law that that dictates that the price will drop by 50% immediately after the purchase,
The longer you wait - the less you feel taken for a ride.

Now if only they could motivate the opposite behaviour...
