I would like a complicated scoundrel for a LI, one that is a bit darker in nature than Isabela or Zev but still charming. Someone who knows who he is and embraces it. Any class will do.

Indeed. I like this. Make it a Mage LI. Cause dat would be awesome.

Having finally played Nier this year, I wouldn't mind a character like Kaine as a hetero romance. The personality, not the fan service appearance (but I wouldn't mind it either :) )

http://nier.wikia.com/wiki/Kain%C3%A9

Interesting, so maybe someone who is half-human, half-spirit? So they don't really fit into either world. But why only available to men? I'd like to romance someone like that with a female character, too :)

Possibly already happened.

Oghren: Hmmm. So you can turn into animals, aye? Like cats and wolves?

Morrigan: When the desire strikes me.

Oghren: Have you ever... you know. "When in Tevinter..."

Morrigan: That's a most curious little mind you have, dwarf. And what if I had? Would that thought comfort you during your lonely nights?

Oghren: Hmmm. Have you ever changed during--

Morrigan: Why are you suddenly asking me this?

Oghren: How do we know you're truly a woman? Or even human! You could be a chip mouse... or a nug! Ha! Imagine that!

Morrigan: Why, yes. I am actually a nug in human form. I have come to observe your kind.

Oghren: Huh. Nugs are good with extra sauce. I'm just saying.

So... Solas? XD

He does care about people but his goals seem to, err... overshadow that particular aspect of his personality. Otherwise he seems right on the money.

Indeed. Solas is very close. The problem: my main Inquisitor is human.

So either like Cole or Anders?

Cole is unique in what he is, if they'd add another Cole like Spirit it would just strip Cole of the uniqueness and it would get boring tbh.

I personally would never romance a Spirit, the Spirit would just get corrupted and Demon time it is.

A bi romance could certainly work too. The character was intersex/hermaphrodite, that identified as female, but had a male spirit riding shotgun.

Nier was one of the best RPGs of the last generation, written by the same lunatic that made the dark fantasy cult classic Drakengard. Nier wasn't as heavily censored as Drakengard thankfully.

A lot of this is echoing comments already made but I'd like to see:

An elf who isn’t portrayed as morally gray or highly problematic

Both a male and a female dwarf to make up for the lack in all the prior games (not Varric, sorry I love him but it’s time for someone new)

A female Saarebas

A gay or lesbian KISA/heroic type

Krem orsomeone similar if the Chargers were sacrificed

A former Grand Enchanter or a Magister

Except Krem probably wont happen because he's either going to be dead or dating Marydan.

I like weirdos, so lets get some possessed Rivani seers, blood mage Grey Wardens, another Witch of the Wilds, a Saarebas and maybe a dwarf from Kal-Shorak.

Good point, also kudos to BioWare for giving our inquisitors a disability and then not "magically" healing them. It's one of the few reasons I'd be interested in continuing their story in the next game.

Your kudos may be short-lived if the Inquisitor is in DA4 in some fashion. See the various threads and postings talking about magical/steampunkish prosthetics for an example. We'll just have to wait and see.

For my part, I agree 100%. I'm hoping the arm, or lack thereof, is kept.

*Rethinks her choices.*

I love character backgrounds and everything, it's fun for me to think about. And as such, I took together what both people and I want.

A Male Rogue (straight ace sort, Robin Hood background, but he got caught and made a GW). He's in his mid thirties (36 years old) with short red hair and deep brown eyes. Straight (not a KISA) but his romance goes like this. He often doesn't realize your flirting with him, and says a serious awnser instead, he's not awkward or anything, just really business minded and a total straight ace. It starts when you finally break through that professional act and his uptight, rigged ways, to which he does remind you that he will die becuase of the taint running through his veins. Unlike Blackwall, he's not kidding. He really does fall in love with you, and does care for you, but he's so worried he's gonna hurt you when he has to go the Deep Roads all alone, he tries to act cold towards you, hoping he'd stop caring about you, but fails and just stop caring about how long he had left, after awhile. Becuase all he wants is to spend his last years with you.

A Female Elven Warrior (Tevinter Gladiator Origin, and is duel wielding), she's a bit of a tough acting lady in her early twenties (23) with medium length chocolate colored hair and grassy green eyes. She's a bit of a hard act, very stubborn and slightly full of herself, she dislikes unfair treatment to innocent people and hates slavery. Her romance starts when you don't take no for awensers, she likes that sort of thing and is attracted towards someone who is direct and honest with her. She is Bisexual and has plenty of lovers of each gender before hand, so she's not really picky of who she's loves . When you first flirt with her, she takes it as a complement and takes it that the PC wants something from her. She choices not to saying until the next time you flirt with her, in which you case she will take note of it. And in which case, respond no If you wish to continue with the romance. As the romance progresses, she becomes unsure of herself, as she's never been in love before and often uses people as mean to her own ends. She will think that's what your doing, she is very wary of the PCs wants for her. Love is a strange emotion to her, and as such she tries to pretend the feeling doesn't exist when she's around you, until she blurts out she loves you.

A Male Human Warrior, swords and shields. Not a Dick this time, a 29 year old guy. He has tan skin, milarty cut black hair and sea green blue eyes. A mix of my ideas. Gay. I think I'll finish this another time. Gosh, I think I've written a crap ton of stuff already.

A Riviani Seerer. OMG! An Anti Isabela! Yes! Yes!!! I personally love this idea. Yeah.. Another time.

A Male Human Mage. An Morrigan point two. Whoever suggested this is a bloody genus, I would love a male Morrigan. Thank you poster, you're awesome. Bi becuase I didn't list a bi guy yet. Another time

A Female Dwarven Warrior (two handed warrior), I'm think she's gay. I was thinking of a Qunari woman, but sense we're going to Tevinter it doesn't make much sense to have a Tal Valosh companion, despite a lot of things. Another time

A Dwarven Rogue (or Scout Harding), bisexual. I want two Dwarven romances, sense we've been robbed of them sense DAO. But we can only hope. And I'll write the rest another time.

I added on to my ideas... And it took forever. And I didn't want to have to go through the thread to look for my other ideas because I just finished school and I'm feeling lazy so this took a lot of effort... To do on a school day.
This took effort, and I know my other posts haven't... Be so good... But i hope this would do. To fix my thing and all.

I think I did say something about a bro of Morrigan, though I suggested him as a romanceable villain, anyway, given the case a "Wizard of the Wilds" actually exists I think he should have a behaviour remarkably different from his family, perhaps use logic and threats rather than seduction and manipulation.

Ooo, the Mage version of the dude i wrote. The dude I Invented was such a dick... I don't know why I thought of use a thing, but I did. But I was bored and that was the first thing I thought off so there's that. But yeah, I do love your idea.

Still holding out for a female vashoth (woof), a dwarf of either gender (though female would be great to break through the monotony of only human women with the occasional elven woman so far), an elf who doesn't hate elven culture and isn't morally problematic (omg how shocking) and... well, a same-sex romanceable female companion who isn't the "girliest" of the group. (I know BioWare wants to avoid the "butch lesbian" connotations, but for once I'd like to romance the Morrigans, Jacks or Cassandras of the group and not just the Lelianas, Liaras (ME1), Kelly Chambers, Merrills or Josephines of the group.)

Agreed. Although I did the Cass romance as a male Trevelyan, she's awesome and all, but I just kind of feel bad for the guys sometimes. They get a warrior lady who is awesome, but... Also a boring, princess-ey type like Josie. I think the guys got the short end of straw in DAI....

There is a reason my list had two badass warrior women on it. Albeit with one being paired with a driven, ambitious blood mage for the polyamorous relationship.

At first I thought "I liked Isabella." Then I thought "Why one Isabella? The whole party could be Isabella! Dwarf Izzy, Qunari Izzy, male Izzy!"

The class I'm currently in is not very interesting.

Qun00 posted an example of it. There is no pragmatic reason for my Warden to threaten to beat the snot out of a priestess.  She also got a kick out of how I treated the folks in Lothering, namely the woman and the seller.  But overall, Morrigan isn't completely malicious for no reason, she does offer up reasons for her choices and my Warden happened to agree with a lot of them anyway. They were pretty much two peas in a pod.

She just thinks it's funny because she doesn't like the Chantry. And she likes that you run off the woman, again of the Chantry, because she sees no problem with what the seller is doing. It's just pragmatism again.

That was in reference to the person who was saying that Zevran was bad, evil, untrustworthy, something like that. If Zevran is bad, so is Morrigan, possibly Sten even, so long as we're using morality as a scale for bad.

Sten killed out of anger and regrets it. Morrigan killed out of survival, though got too much enjoyment out of it I would say. Zevran killed for money so I'd hardly say they were equal. Still, the biggest problem with Zevran for me is that he was hired to kill me.

Alistair and Shale do that too, I assume that between the tragic story and the badassness of the Lady of The Forest and the Werewolves (along with finding out Zathrian fooled them) was enough reason.

He's single if the Chargers live and Cole's more human than spirit.

Because she perceives the Dalish as weak.

edit; Though I should add that she perceives the loser in any confrontation as weak (or else, hey, they wouldn't have lost!) and she otherwise thinks it's admirable that the Dalish face hardship in the wilderness rather than submitting to human-whatever. Maybe she thinks the werewolves are justified, if Zathrian won't budge?

I would like someone... connected to the main plot (kinda like Solas and Bastilla in Kotor). Everything else just feels like waste of time to me.

In fact, I want all companions to be acquired throught the main quest, and to have a connection to it. Too many characters in DAI seemed to be out of place, like Sera, Vivienne, Iron Bull, Blackwall (this one was promising in the beginning, but then of course we learn that he is not who he claimed to be). I don't hate any of these characters, just my opinion...

Oh, and please no more blond guys
