A male blood mage (we almost had one in DAO) who has a good heart, uses blood magic correctly and is a rare mage romance that doesn't go south at the end.

I'll just take that last part and call it a win. You'd think I would have learned my lesson about dating apostates by now ![]()

Thank goodness for Merrill (minus Hawke in the Fade if chosen) and Dorian (and Morrigan unless she's going to be dead next based on her destiny)! I guess Anders is happy if you romance him and keep him alive, but I could never ever romance him and then play the Inquisitor and see all that happened because of him, and it's not happy if you let Hawke remain in the Fade either.
When you add up all those facts... only Dorian is so far the safest mage romance.
Try making a warrior woman without having her be detached/professional and needed to be "warmed up".
For example, have her be "your" knight, instead of a knight who tags along with you and keeps you at arm's length for some time.
Also, as always : Tamassran for a magister pc ,if DA4 is in Tevinter. Never giving up on that one.
DA4 PC: So why are you here in Tevinter? Your people don't usually come this far north.
Movran: I threw a goat at the Inquisition's castle.
DA4 PC: ...
Movran: They killed my son, I threw a goat, and now I'm here killing Vints.
DA4 PC: You. Me. Bang. NOW.
I didn't know I wanted this. But I do. For real, a character old and experienced enough to have grown sons running around? I would love to see how Bioware approaches that.
Other than that? I would also like to see someone who does what needs doing, or what they want anyway, without feeling too bad about it who doesn't undergo a redemption arc and who doesn't soften up over the course of the story. Kinda like Morrigan but more of a political creature instead of with weird nebulous goals. They do what they do either because they genuinely feel they have to and so won't apologize or seek forgiveness or because that's just the way they are. I suppose that's vaguely psychopathic but eh. It also kinda sounds like Solas but I hate that guy's face, good old personal greed and/or lust for personal advancement over genocide plox.
I also want a bookworm type whose quiet and unassuming and sorta fades into the background/into their own head the majority of the time, very cerebral but when the situation is called for they're calculating, ruthless and surprisingly lethal. There should be a distinct shift between one way of being and another. I also want them to have glasses, I don't know if that meshes with in game lore but it should. They'd be confused by any romantic overtures initially (after missing the first few tries) before jumping in enthusiastically.
I've never really wanted an KISA but I wouldn't complain about a dude in armor with a beard either. He'd be stable and chilled and non-flighty and confident in what he wants without pushing or retracting, well-adjusted. And then he'd wind up betraying you near the end and stabbing you. Not really. Although I do like the idea of betrayal from the closest quarters, preferably with a bit more oomph than Bull got though.
Looking over these I think my taste in LIs probably says something unfortunate about me as a person.
Ideally? I'd love an ambitious male Tevinter magister, romanceable by a female. Someone drawn to power, but is essentially a good person. And preferably without any deception or betrayals, though crises are fine.
Female qunari that likes girls PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ
A female Tevinter mage which has a dark and sinister personality. She is not cruel for the sake of being cruel though. A bit like Morrigan just a tad darker.
Unfortunately if DA:I is an indicator it looks grim. Seems like Bioware is set on a "Hollywood" course of politically correct characters where everyone is good at their core with little room for moral gray areas. The DA:I characters where all different personality-wise and well made. But lets face it, not a single companion was anywhere near a DnD-like "Evil" allignment. Bioware should consult some Obsidian writers for DA:4.

I wouldn't describe any of the Pillars of Eternity comapnions as D&D Evil, either. (Although I haven't played with the Devil of Carroc in the party yet.) There's probalby more filthy Neutrals than in DAI, though.
I don't really care about looks/age/hair colour or any of that. Make them interesting, Give them a unique personality and backstory. Try to steer away from tropes. It doesn't always have to be drama, betrayal and redemption with an LI. You're generally put in extraordinary circumstances with plenty of death, back-stabbing, power grabs etc as it is. A good balance is key.

Dorian doesn't even count. He's not an apostate. He had a circle it was just a Tevinter one. XD

Lol well a mage is a mage! But yeah he was close to being like our male mage PC's.
Basically a female Alistair or Cullen. Knight in Shining Armour. There is a serious lack of them available to females. And by "lack" I mean they haven't made one yet ![]()
Just good characters. More Morrigans, Lelianas, and Shales. More Talis and Wrexes. Less Anderses and Isabelas,

Cass is pretty close. She's a princess and a sweetheart, but pretty harsh if she remains closed up. I think a dashing female Templar would be great! We had one in Asunder, but she was taken.

I mean one available to other females. Straight/bi males got Cassandra, straight/bi females got Alistair and Cullen, but gay men and women haven't gotten one yet, and they're my favourite type of romance by far.

Oh yeah she'd be great for both sexes, but to have one only for girls would be nice. Sera was fun, but she was a Rouge and too playful.

XD
But yeah an apostate that wasn't cray cray in the end would be lovely.

tevinter magisters' sons and daughters don't have "love" interests. they have some very different interests though.
You'll all be surprised when DA4 rolls out, you're still playing your Quizzy, and you're tied down with Josephine and her doll collection or Cullen and a slobbering mabari.
As fascinating as all these suggestions are (a tranquil Felassan especially peaks my interest) I'm mostly just hoping to get another crack at the old Egg.
Bi scout Harding obviously.
For hetro males, as I posted in another topic, a Teveniter magister based on Farnese from Berserk could be good. A good woman that is atoning for her past, but still struggles with her inner desires, whether that desire is pyrophilia/sadism, or something else. Petite, pretty blonde maybe, something DA has never had for some reason. A skill tree that forks between healing and "death by element of choice" would be nice, especially if you can kind of push her own way or another through dialog.
Dark-haired female elf berserker or arcane warrior. Have her personality be a counterweight to the other LI. Could be an Aveline-style amazon or a tiny woman with a big sword, its all good to me. Could be a female dwarf, but I figure Harding has that covered.
