I found one in The Descent DLC and storage duped the s*** out of it.

Can't remember where though. Might have been from the gears.

Can you make a video or elaborate how exactly you're doing it? Previously, I would hit "A" and then "B" ASAP, but it's not working

It doesn't work for me, either (I'm a KB/M peasant), so I hope someone else can offer some insight.

It works, but it's really difficult. I'm about 1 out of 20 success rate. It's not what everyone says, clicking "at the same time". There's a hemi-semi-demi beat in between.

 

Of course, for all practical purposes, 1 out of 20 is the same as it doesn't work at all.

 Ya know, i never got the storage chest dupe method to work on a controller, but was able to get it consistently (meaning once out of every 3 tries) on mouse and keyboard using enter+esc.

You have to hit A and B at the same time or damn close to the same time, it has been working for me on xbone

Still works. The storage chest in Skyhold. You have to despot an item and then press the Y and B buttons simultaneously. You'll hear a weird sound to let you know you've done it properly.

EDIT: It works if I turn my controller side ways and hit A/B and the exact same time. 50%ish success rate

Agreed- A and B- sorry- wasn't near a controller when I typed the response.

I use the controller on PC, works just find A then B immediately after.

Proof of existence! Found it on a ledge area I had to jump to, by starting near the lift from the Darkspawn Warrens area (the lift that goes down into the thaig) and around.  Not sure if it's a random loot drop or a set location though

Accessories in The Descent seem to be random. One pt I could equip whole Inquisition with rings I found there. The other - I didn't get enough to properly equip my party.

Yeah, I learned that the hard way. After discovering ledge jumping and a few loot chests with great accessories, I missed a jump and got stuck in an infinite falling loop ... had to reload from a save and noooooooooooooo ... the loot chests had different contents, none of it as good.

 

I suppose that means you can save-scum those chests, though.

Out of multiple runs i have only ever come across this ring once. As shown it does exist but the drop chance must be minuscule.

Got 2 of them with my last character in Decent. Doing decent again now and I am confident that this time when I actually need it (Artificer throwing blades build) I wont get a single one. So yes, not only does it exist. I got 3 of them total on my last character and didnt even get to wicked hearts quest before rerollitis kicked in.

So I did a PT with an Assassin (who doesn't need crit chance) and ended up getting 2 rings. I started another PT using a 2H Warrior (who needs crit chance) and I DIDNT GET A ****** RING!!!!! **** YOU RNG!!!!!

So I just went to that exact spot. It has two barrels that always spawn an unique accessory. I did about 15 minutes of save scumming and got the crit ring **** ya RNG
