I have it on good authority that some forumites have a drinking problem directly effected by discussion topics such as: 

• It breaks my immersion!
• My choices don't matter!
• Don't encourage them to charge for DLCs!
• Give me better hair!
• Why can't combat be more like DA:O?
• Why can't the whole damned game just be DA:O redone?!
• Bioware sucks, I am never buying their crap again, and that's why I hang out on  their forums!

 

My sober forumites; we have a steadfast responsibility to save them from themselves! Waning kidneys and dying livers cry out from the Drinkquisition thread. If we do not act, the forum may become boring and clinical, sparing new posters the ability to post already discussed issues! Necro-ing topic after topic incidentally without thought of Drinkquisition etiquette spurs their gullets on! 

 

I plead with the new forumites! Dare not cater to such indiscretion! Save the elite from themselves! 

 

Simple exploration of threads and using the often aptly aimed search function (doesn't always work ahem) may save early onset jaundice, irritability and hefty thread bloating. This may help. Unless these posters don't want help. To that we must offer them our awkward glances, profane prudence and worst, our pity. They linger diseased, conflicted and honorably steadfast to their vice.

 

Drinkquisition can be prevented! But there will always be topics of immediate interest brought upon by fresh explorers into our realm. Have mercy dear posters! They are in each thread lurking. They are in each thread expectant. Be their solvent poster! Know your lore and overt your disdain! Avoid exposition of your opinions! Avoid avid complaining about the related products and it's contents. But above all else avoid placing the biting, soul wrenching liquid to their waiting lips! Do not be their excuse. Be their reason to change.

You should drop in a and share a jar with us, we're OK.  I don't think I've ever mocked a fellow poster - maybe a topic .... maybe.  Even DQ'ers don't agree on everything but we mostly try and treat each other with respect ... (they mostly come out at night ..... mostly).  I like the effort you put into your post though, you'd probably fit right in
