Currently there's no GotY upgrade for people who already got the game early, this means you will either have to buy the GotY Edition entirely for $60 or buy all the DLCs individually for $15 each, I say this is not a good business practice.
First, this will only discourage gamers from preordering or buying any Bioware game on release, because late comers can just grab the whole package while fans who preordered/bought the game early are forced to buy the base game + DLC individually at a much higher price, this just doesn't feel justified.
Second, there're lot of publishers doing it right /not so harshly on their fans. Borderlands 2, a brilliant game often criticized for 2K's DLC policy, offered a season pass, even that doesn't include all the later DLCs, it's still much cheaper than buying them individually. And there's DICE, another EA studio just like BioWare, offered fans an upgrade option on Battlefield 3/4 Premium Edition called Premium Membership, the price tag is a little bit high ($50), but at least you're not forced to buy the base game again.
So don't tell me clichés like "BioWare has never done this or that" or "Just wait for a sale and grab the GotY Edition", things change, they're not charging us BW points any more, and I generally believe people get more reasonable over the time, so I'm astounded that they're still acting the same old way on the price model. A $40 GotY upgrade pack for base game owners and $30 upgrade pack for Digital DeluxeEdition owners, it's much more reasonable and you still make a lot of money.
Just my 2 cents.
