I mean why not lol

Nope this has nothing to do with "OMG BW put women more on spotlight", heck nope.

Trough both DA and ME your main antagonist has always been man, never a woman and if there was female bad guy like Benezia it turns out she wasn't evil she was manipulated by Saren so blame it all on Saren for her being bad. It kinda gives you that vibe telling you "See,only men can be truly evil." which is again bs that you usually hear from femenazis.

Women make one of best and most ruthless villains(tons of examples of that...Flemeth would have been most awesome antagonist in BW history if they gave her role of 'true bad one' instead of making someone you don't care for like Coryfish a evil star of game) and as I said at start of my thread, why not? It is going to break a bit feminazi's monotony of 'only guys can be true bad ones' in story and it won't kill BW to give it a try. All they need to know is how to make interesting character(which they do) like Flemeth for example and you can have one of best antagonists in history that can even give antagonist like Sephiroth bad name.

(yes Faora I'm pointing at you)

DA had Meredith and the Viddasala, but I wouldn't mind a female antagonist for MEA

Forgot almost on crazy commander Meridith, but she was still more of joke then someone I took seriously  :P (DA:I even made bigger joke about her)

As for second one she was in DLC, reason why I didn't counted her as well is because she is DLC add and  I meant more on having real bad one in main game

After Kai Leng and Corypheus, I really hope Bioware pulls off a good antagonist this time. Not saying Cory was as bad as Kai Leng, but he was a let down.

Seeing that topic name I was about to write something like "I just want charismatic antagonist regardless of gender" but then I noticed that Faora gif. Oh god, I love her.

Meredith was excellent. My favorite character in DA2.  Hopefully her VA, Jean Gilpin, will voice a character in Andromeda

They should be more concerned with writing a great antagonist than with the gender of the antagonist. The last solid antagonist they wrote was the Arishok in DA2, but Corypheus was a mess, Meredith was just driven crazy by a rock, the Collectors were boring and lacking any kind of personality, and Kai Leng and TIM were absolute jokes. They need to look at Saren, Loghain and the Arishok as their successes and the rest of their recent antagonists as failures.

Tis true,
Women can be truly evil :)
Seriously though,
I didn't really see Faoro as evil,
She was a soldier following her CO's orders (Zod) and SOP's for her people.
But I do understand your point.
That said,
I really did like her!

I was really hoping Morrigan was going to go all evil-y.
I think she'd make a great bady.
(Now the Morrigan-mancers are going to flame me. But I like Morrigan actually I simply think she could pull-it-off.)

The closest I think ME has come is Nassana Dantius. But Hell yeah! I'm ready for a badass lady villian, especially if I can have some grudging respect for her villainy. I do have to agree that I want a solid antagonist before being picky about one, but I don't see why that can't be a lady.

As OP said in their post, they should have made Flemeth antagonist instead because she had all elements that would make her not only best BW antagonist but best game antagonist in general.

Yes.

Bioware needs to remake ME3 and have Harbinger in a bigger role. ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL

Brooks was more of an antagonist than Nassana was.

I'm the type of person who has no desire to find common ground with the Villain. I have no desire to sympathize, understand, or see where they are coming from. My only interest is stopping them.

It wouldn't fit her character. She was never a villain. She was guiding people and events over a very long period of time to achieve her mysterious aims, but she was never a "tear open the sky, lay siege to the land, slaughter mine enemies" villain at all. It would be a jarring transition that would effectively ruin one of the most compelling characters in the series. Unfortunately BioWare still managed to ruin her(I won't spoil it) but at least they didn't make her act completely out of character before doing so.

Exactly! I don't need Pagan Min 2 villain who I liked and wanted to side with rather then to kill him or fight against him, I mean sure he was tyrant and so on but he was pure angel compared to "good guys" you got to side with in game.

She still always gave most vibes of "You will regret for knowing me sooner or later >:)" then anyone in DA because of her mysterious motives, of how she survived this long, then disappearance of Warden and Hawke all added to that vibe. Sadly all what made Flemeth interesting was blown to hell with whole

Spoiler

I can't even put in words how much disappointment this all has been ):

That's boring. Why even have an antagonist at that point? You may as well be fighting a sharknado. Having a primary antagonist who doesn't have compelling motivations, a strong personality or an interesting viewpoint is just bad writing. That's why the Reapers feel so anticlimactic in the sequels after Sovereign talked them up.

Not to me she doesn't

Tons of people, including me, thought it was the same actress.

Your opinion...I'm a fan of lovecraftian works. I enjoy incomprehensible foes. And I agree....Sovereign hyped me up too much, and I enjoyed Harbinger...3 ruined it all. I wanted Harbinger and I got freaking Kai Leng.
