So I am a level 15 knight enchanter. I have viv, cole, and cassandra with me. I can not defeat the boss with the dragon in the end. Have gotten close a couple of times but that is it. My whole party just ends up dying. Any tips for me out there. I see a lot of new patches and such. Are they making nightmare harder? I hear people say it's a breeze with knight enchanter, but that is all old posts.

Dragon? I don't recall ever having to fight the Red lyrium dragon in Here lies the Abyss.. You mean the fear demon with the giant spider in the fade? From what I recall, the Dragon only attacks from the air and you essentially have to run the gauntlet.

The dragon is only halfway through the quest. You are not anywhere close to the boss battle.
If you are getting total party wipeouts in Adamant Castle, you are not prepared for this quest yet. Adamant is the easy part. Reload a save before starting Abyss and level up some more and get some better gear. You'll need it. Investing in Antivan Fire and Bee grenade is never a waste.

I'd craft tier 3 gear. Make sure everyone in the party has crafted weapons and amour. Also, jar of bees is OP vs the fear demon

you might also just need more crowd control then what you have. swap out viv with solas or even dorian. two KEs might be unnecessary. and dont take pot shots at the dragon just run along the bridge and away from its attacks to trigger the cutscene

I made it through. I was trying to kill every fear demon...I just ran past them this time. Just barely made it. On to wicked hearts...

I just did this on NM at lv 9 with all trails on. Whole party has tier 4 armor/weps made with tier2 matts. Guess it depends on both skill and gear quality. You should be more than able to do it with no trials.

It is a breeze with Knight-Enchanter. Still. However the part you were referring to, I typically just run through as fast as I can and ignore the mobs on the way.
