Not major ones, but just really small things. It's mostly companion related stuff.

1. Literally all npcs you've met calls your character beautiful.

2. Companions get all jealous over your character and get snippy. It was so golden.

3. Companions initiate flirting. In DAI, sometimes I almost feel like I have to beg....

4. Camping night. I miss it. So, to me, Descent was a nice touch.

5. Talking to companions during the exploration.

6. Funny presents. Like giving Morrigan Alistair's doll.

Same here for all except the first one. I hate every NPC calling my character beautiful. I also miss little details like in DA:O where they game knew if you were wearing the disguise you were supposed to be wearing and if you had weapons equipped and the NPCs would react accordingly.

Maybe with Zevran, but you have to flirt with Morrigan or Leliana to get the ball rolling.

Ya, other than Zevran, I don't remember much initiative from companions when it comes to romance. Also, I don't recall NPCs thinking the Warden was beautiful... maybe I just don't remember and it did happen.

What I miss is

-the book/tome styled menu.

-Inferno spell

-origins

others that I can't think of at the moment...

My elven Warden got a few comments like that. You know that girl Caitlyn in Redcliffe, the one with the missing brother? She asks you if you're an elf and then mentions you're very handsome.

I think they generally avoid commenting on appearance because it becomes kinda hilarious if you make your character ugly. And let's face it, you can make some VERY ugly Inquisitors.

I miss leaving from one place and getting ambushed along the way to your next destination.

Also miss Sandal and Bohdan. :(

Generally had to take one or two flirt options for LI's to start taking the initiative. In dao my character never once started any romance scene, the LI always initiated the kiss without any prodding during the convo for example. Jealousy chats, the her/him or me stuff, were awesome, I actually miss them. Repercussions for flirting with everyone.

I also miss random characters telling my protagonist that she was beautiful (DAo and DA2, not once in DAI), I'm a little vain some times. Other times that was very much just a "brightened my day immeasurably" thing when i was feeling a bit down.

But the character origins, and preset background/history (in a much more detailed manner) is what I miss the most.

Aww, me too. I really felt related with those detailed prologue. Especially Cousland and Tabris. I miss that immensely.

This is a bit weird, but for some reason, I kind of miss the little sparkly thing that objects did when they had things to collect on them. I think it's a bit better than pinging for stuff.

Oh, now I'm remembering all that hero worship from DA:O... Hawke and Inquisitor had a lot fewer admirers compared to the Warden, and no kisses for rewards. I forgot all about that, I need to play Origins again.

Edit: Ugh, constantly having to do a radar sweep, pinging thing is one of the worst things in Inquisition. Yes, I must find and loot everything, I also must press the radar sweep button every second... bleh...

Morrigan asks all my male wardens to her tent even if they don't flirt.

There was a lot more casual sex in DAO, I'll say that. ;)

Morrigan asks all my male wardens to her tent even if they don't flirt.

Well, not me. And I was carefully avoiding flirt options.

Maybe you took a flirt option without realizing it? Some of those dialogue options in DAO were damn ambiguous.

Loot sparkles! Loot sparkles definitely win. I honestly don't understand why they replaced that with pinging.... eww.

NPCs always caling my character beautiful felt odd because they weren't reacting to something that exists in-game. I could've made the ugliest Warden in creation and they'd still think she's gorgeous. I prefered them to react to dialogue (e.g if you pick something humorous and they like it, they might say you're funny). I don't mind with an LI.

I'm not a fan of jealousy at all. Especially when the LI decides they're going to speak for you.

I'd be interested in characters initiating the flirting again, provided we get decent options to reply. I liked it when Zevran did, because it fit his character and there were a range of replies to choose from. We could let him down gently. When Anders flirted, the reply options were basically "Hell yes!" or "Hell no!" with no "Let's just be friends" option. It would've been fun for Isabela to initiate flirting, since that would fit her character very well.

I like the idea of camping nights. In future, if they brought it back and had companions actually doing something, that would be great. Sharpening weapons, cooking dinner, chatting to each other, etc.

I never chatted to companions in the world, tbh. I played this game after ME1, so I thought it was like that, where you only talked to them back at the hub. I would like to be able to click on them and hear their immediate thoughts on our location/situation though (DA2 style).

The gifts/pranks were fun. I'd love it if we could give them to a companion and get a line of reaction dialogue. I really wanted to know Zev's opinion on that chastity belt.  :P

Which is ironic, since it's the full line and not a paraphrase.

I am grateful for those tone indicators that were added in DA2 and expanded in Inquisition.

The conversions at camp. It wasn't the same at Skyhold, a huge fortress. I also miss it when people called my person beautiful (I'm also vain and a girl). I think It'd be awesome if they brought back how you meet your companions (not as a quest.. but out of the blue they come to meet you.. Unlike DAI where you are alerted of your companions). Kind of like how Zevran came to be, even though It was expected, it was still special and awesome.

1. Haha. That is both good and bad, since your character can look like anything. It was funny, at least. Though I do think that it's odd that the exact opposite happens in DA:I (especially since my Inquisitor is the prettiest character in my playthroughs! *cough*) The only comments I can even remember are: Sera thinks you're plain. Someone at the ball asks someone else if they think the Inquisitor is pretty (no answer). Cullen finally says you look lovely today if you romance him and talk to him after beating the game. Like... really? Took you long enough

3. I really wish companions would initiate things more (when it fits the character). I want to play an awkward person, at least romantically, since that's how I am and can relate to it best

4. The camp was great and is now very nostalgic. I think the reasons for this are the music, which was beautiful, and the fact that everyone was close together. It made it feel like you were a family, something I thought was comparatively lacking in DA:I

5. I miss this too, not just for the novelty, but sometimes for practical reasons. Seriously Vivienne, we just picked up one of your Circle Tomes (I was even controlling you at the time), and yet, I have to travel all the way back to Skyhold for you to acknowledge this. Why???????? <_<

6. I also miss presents. I don't need 10000 of them, but it was nice to be able to actually show your friends that you cared, and that you were - you know - friends. Unfortunately we don't get many opportunities to actually show our strong platonic bonds with our companions. They don't like to let us have hugs for some reason, and not we can't even give them gifts :crying:

But... DA:I removed them all except for the new "emotional" responses. Which sucks, because I've been the victim of my Inquisitor saying something in a different tone than I expected, which wouldn't have happened nearly as much in DA2. Also, they added a toggle for tone indicators, but it's not very useful, because of the above.

Tactical customisation and item descriptions....on everything.

I doubt they're trivial to implement (tactics especially) but I would very much like them back if there's another game.

Agreed.

Even with that stupid "ping" sound and the indicator on the map, its still a PITA to see where the loot is; especially when it blends into the damn sand. Worst loot bag...ever. Uh, IMO, of course. :)

Bioware should just bring back the, "loot the corpse." So much better.

I'm playing Origins right now. Man, I had forgotten what a fun non hand-holding game DA use to be.

I miss the more blatant racism and such. It ran from loads of people calling you a "dirty knife ear" to a little kid innocently telling you that his dad says elves are mean.

Also the costumes. I really miss finding costumes...i beat the Archdemon in a noble's dress.

I also agree with the companions initiating flirting, that was nice. Preferably like how Zev did it, he was testing the water but didn't force it. I'm pretty sure Alistair needed to detect some interest before he started flirting with you, but that suited him.

And gifts, i like the special gifts that meant something to the person. And usually they were like "Whoa, i thought you weren't listening. Thanks, bub, this means a lot". On a similar note, the fact there were consequences for getting high or low affection was nice. First time i played it, i ignored Zev...my heart shattered i tell you, shattered!

I also miss the "persuade" and "intimidate" options. I felt like i had to really think about what i was doing so i could get the best outcome. It also didn't feel like i had to limit myself to one sort of personality, which is awesome.

But i also liked the "object of interest" in awakening. A conversation about something that means something to companions, especially since we couldn't have long chats in front of a horde of Darkspawn there.
