The small camp with the melancholic music in Origins is the best of the PC homes in all DA games.

My elven Warden got a few comments like that. You know that girl Caitlyn in Redcliffe, the one with the missing brother? She asks you if you're an elf and then mentions you're very handsome.

I think they generally avoid commenting on appearance because it becomes kinda hilarious if you make your character ugly. And let's face it, you can make some VERY ugly Inquisitors.

I can just see the scene when Solas calls Lavellan beautiful and the camera pans to a hideous creature trying to look like an elf!

^Um... maybe he meant inner beauty?

Well he calls her beautiful after he removes her Vallaslin, so maybe he meant seeing her free of the God she was a "slave" to is what made her beautiful?

The only thing I really miss from DAO is the Dog.  And Mana Clash.  Bring back Mana Clash.  I used to one shot so many jerk mages with that one.  Mana Clash for the win.

I miss spending points in the 'coercion' skill so the Warden could persuade/intimidate out of any situation.

I also liked how the protagonist's attributes could affect dialogue as well (such as having a high cunning which unlocked certain dialogue replies).

Actually, I liked a lot of the DAO passive skills like pickpocket/survival etc and how they could affect dialogue.

On topic though, what I miss about DAO is realism. Having more than 3 options made things more flexible. Having your love interest approach you randomly at camp was exciting and it felt like you were truly shaping your own story.

Sadly DA2 an DAI gave us only 3 choices (diplomatic, sarcastic, aggressive), we had to initiate everything romantic and no matter our choices, how they were affected felt less like my own story and just 1 of the 3 choices already written.

I miss having a silent protagonist and roleplaying how my character would speak. I hate this shoehorning into 4 voices.

Above all however, I miss the Toolset.

Here's another thing: the music. DAI's music is good, but it's mostly "standard adventure movie music" and lacks the identity of DAO's. Some locations excepted.

In my opinion, the tracks of the Trespasser DLC are quite good.

Yeah that was cool. I also used them for more role playing. Like my dalish elf was a rogue with high skills in survival, noble human expert in coercion ans city elf with points in stealing.

You know, the only DAO music I miss is the Lake Calenhad music.  But they carried that over to DA2.  Kinda wish they would have carried it over somewhere in DAI, but I think the music in DAI is better otherwise.

The skill system was so goddamn broken in DAO, and not in the over-powered sense. It was ****. I prefer the Knowledge Perks in DAI.

Not major ones, but just really small things. It's mostly companion related stuff.

1. Literally all npcs you've met calls your character beautiful.

2. Companions get all jealous over your character and get snippy. It was so golden.

3. Companions initiate flirting. In DAI, sometimes I almost feel like I have to beg....

4. Camping night. I miss it. So, to me, Descent was a nice touch.

5. Talking to companions during the exploration.

6. Funny presents. Like giving Morrigan Alistair's doll.

They tried to do that in DA2, but overdid it and it became one of the worst aspects of the game. Seems they can't achieve a harmonious balance, I don't want to beg nor do I want everyone presuming I want to bang them.

If I recall correctly, people complained about how companions hit on their Hawkes, despite their Hawkes not showing any interest. However, I don't think my Hawkes ever got hit on unless I had already clicked on a flirt option beforehand - though I think Isabela goes to Hawke's estate at night in Act 2 if approval is high enough, even without flirting.

There was a lot more casual sex in DAO, I'll say that. ;)

Well, not me. And I was carefully avoiding flirt options.

Maybe you took a flirt option without realizing it? Some of those dialogue options in DAO were damn ambiguous.

No, but my game has been known to bug out when it comes to romance before, once I talked to Leliana and she accused me of cheating on her with Alistair but it was the first conversation I'd had with her lol. But come to think of it, I was remembering the Morrigan thing wrong. She didn't ask me to her tent, she told me we were really good friends and asked if there could ever be "more than friends."

I miss the 90% of mage skills that got cut out of DAI that were in DAO.

I miss how I could switch weapons during combat.

I miss how I could have more then 8 skills selected and could carry more then 12 potions.

I miss being able to spend points on my stats to raise my strength, willpower, health and so forth.

I miss being able to talk my way out of situations based on my coersion skills.

I miss being able to talk to my companions while adventuring. Sneaking kisses with Morrigan to make Alistair sick was always fun.

I miss encountering desire demons.

I miss being able to choose more options for my background.

I miss Denerem and going past the chantry and listening to the old sister say the chant wrong.

I miss my war hound.

I miss my camp with drunken Oghren in my group, who usually fell down when we spoke.

Ah the memories.
