My stats are not particularly high, but maybe high enough to reflect on some changes.

E.g. decrease HoK and increase critical hit chance.

All my chars are wearing the Superb Belt of Health. (*)

With 40 promotions of constitution this belt might be useless.

So I checked my chars and used the progress bars in the inventory as a benchmark.

Then I noticed that there is a great difference between the progress bars in the char selection and the inventory.

I assume that the values in the char selection are the result of the basic values and the values of the promotions.

But why are the progress bars so different?

And in general, can I trust the progress bar in the inventory?

When I switch the Belt of Health to e.g Belt of Mage Defense (*) and the bar of the health ist still at 100%, does it means the char has the same max health as before?

Thanks a lot.

(*) german game, hope it's the right translation

Ignore the bars completely.

Constitution  = 5 HP per promotion

Your 40 promotions = 200 Health

Keep the health belt on all your characters.

Yup, what proto said.  Health belt is basically another 40 warrior promotions (minus the extra 20% melee resist)

Add to that constitution times 5

Damage resistance is (stat -10) : 2          in %

The bars will always ignore all your gear/stats

This and the first and last sentence from @proto is the answer to my somewhat long-winded question.

Thank you very much.

I thought so too until i got max def stat. So its 160 and base 10 also count. Why? Because when i got 200 cunning i always crit (100%). So max def 80% is 160 stat. not (170-10):2 in %

Gosh, I never came up with the -10 idea.

The difference would be subtle between 95% and 100% and you'll still pick up extra cunning from passives as you lvl.

When i check it i used lvl 1 character without cunning from lvl, armor, weapon, accessories etc. And i play 10 games with different lvl 1 and always crit 100%.

It has been shown time and time again. That max defenses are at 170, you start off with 5% crit chance but no defenses so yes...at 200 cunning you have 100% crit chance. It isn't until 170 that you hit the 80% defense for any of the 3 stats
