So any game not like Elder Scrolls isn't an RPG then?
I think this might be the worst version of "What is an RPG?"

RPG?

BW have already decided this issue so the hand wringing on either side is pointless.

Well, to be fair Bioware initially said DAI was going to be human-only but then during the delay they were able to add the other races. Maybe something similar could happen again.

Hopefully Dragon Age 4 will be developed with multiple races in mind rather than as additions.

I hope not honestly
The inclusion of multiple races should done from the start not late additions during development

I hope you're not advocating a delay so that they can add playable races... I'm indifferent to playable races as a concept. I doubt I'd use the option but if it's something the devs really want to do then, go for it, whatever. If, however, it means a delay to a game I've been waiting four years for, I will rage at the idea.
I'm pretty Zen usually but I just want to play the damn game already.

I hope the game gets released next year before the Witcher pests flock another comparison between the game and Cyberpunk. The game should be released and shouldn't be delayed for race being added. The way they implement races were poorly done. Race gated romance was because they couldn't figure out how to handle the animations and time, weird animations with the elf, limited clothing choices, camera angle with qunari and dwarf mostly show their torso or head as opposed to the full body. If they want to do it, do it from the very beginning where everything planned out beforehand instead of adding it at the last minute.
Gimme a playable Vorcha class or two in MP, and i'm cool.

Witcher fans are the worst.
Cyberpunk 2077 looks a lot more interesting but I think we'll be seeing DA4 before that game see the light of day.

Sadly I concur but hey! DA4! so it's not that bad

IKR? great way to treat your neighbors indeed with their constant complains about how their game is so much better than DA, ME, Fallout. Shut up, no one cares. People should just enjoy what they enjoy, no need to justify why they like a game and putting down other games. People want to discuss games they like, not being told how crappy and inferior their games are because some other people like the other games better.

There's nothing like that, just a healthy constructive discussion-more- than most threads.
Love thy neighbor mate.

Construction is good, like talking about how each game can learn from each other. Not the typical stuffs like Witcher is so much better, what a disappoint, what a piece of crap in relation to other games that I keep seeing on youtube or various sites for DAI, FO4, etc. Talking about Witcher and crap on other games even when the video is not even about the game is extra annoying. I don't have problems with the game itself or the fans, just the fanboys. If that's not you, then I wasn't talking about you.
Chill, everyone. I'll bake some cookies and we can all be friends ^^
Mass Effect 1-3 and DA2 have enough failings on their own merits that one doesn't need to bring up Witcher or any other game. Although, it is amusing to point out how most "choices" in ME have less tangible impact and branching (or rather none) vs something like Contra: Hard Corps that was released back in the early 90s on the Genesis.

Personally, ME3 is a pretty good game except for the ending. The cost of production makes it harder to do branching story nowadays. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's just not very common and possible for every single game. On SNES, there are so many games that have branching story and even different quests and objectives midway through like Der Langrisser, which have 4 different factions and different endings and different companions. Fire Emblem attempted this by releasing different versions each with completely different storyline and playable characters. Maybe the cost will be lower once they find a more effective way to do things eventually.

That's good, feedback thread is civil, but as I said, that's not what I was referring to, and if it doesn't apply to you or the civilized people then I'm not talking about you.

Without question ME3 is the best game in the trilogy(best gameplay), but even without branching story, BW made no real attempt at tangible gameplay impacts(with some exceptions, mainly in ME1). Even something as basic as giving an alternate gun or item depending on choice they didn't do. They honestly shouldn't have even bothered with the pretense of choice.
