I'm making a list of the best or somewhat viable items you can receive from the Trial's Special Shipment. Please help me make the list compete and provide an explanation.

Amulet of Aggression

Amulet of Barrier

Amulet of Second Wind

Amulet of Evasion

Belt of (ice/fire/electric) Pact

Sigil of the Bronto

Sigil of the Great Bear

Sigil of the Deepstalker

Sigil of the Spirit (KE only)

Masterwork Items

Sigil of the Nug (tanks only)

Bow of Artifice

Heart of Despair

Edgewise

The list is random, and not based of viability.

Bow of Artifice

42% Crit Chance

6% Stagger on Hit

On Hit: Spawn Elemental Mines around your target.

Why:

Elemental Mines are beastly, and you get these for free. Its especially great on a character who's going for a Multi-hit Build. Also comes with a Substanial amount of Crit Chance which makes a Multi-hit Build even better. Must Have if you're doing a Rogue Artificer and aren't planning to Craft (that is a thing).

Regular/Enhanced/Master/Superb Belt of [ELEMENTAL] Pact

[ELEMENTAL]-based abilities are much more powerful at the cost of a large amount of health.

Why: Trade % Max HP for a Super Large Amount of % [ELEMENTAL] Damage. Oh, what? You were saying something dumb? You need these belts for your mages. Now stop talking like a scrub and get one.

Masterwork craggy skin for rogue. It is almost impossible to get normally. 75% movement speed in stealth is godly for both combat and to travel the map without the need for mounts.

I'm still only level 8, haven't played that much, but I've got 3-4 amulets of barrier already.

They don't work at all on my solo warrior though, I see the animation but no barrier is generated.

And Mages with Ring of Doubt.

This. No need to worry about a crit chance build for flashpoint.

Focus on crit damage, let the ring do the rest.

Hide in stealth

> Don't attack
> Crit spell
> Fall back into stealth
> Crit spell
> Fall back into stealth
> Crit spell

Rinse and repeat.

Works great as a KE that only takes the passives.. bugger the sword.

Barrier on damage.. Crit instant barrier.. stealth.. Crit instant Barrier.

Um sounds like it takes way too long and is boring and from lvl12+ you really should need that rarely. (time strafing around waiting for stealth to reactivate wastes time from actually being productive in battle and killing will be slower). Except maybe in some very tricky situations when soloing and not get one shotted. as an opening to autoattack (crit) to enable flashpoint to double firemines it is good though.

superior belts of elemental pact don't drop in trials they are found in trespasser. On regular and enhanced versions drop.

Heart of Despair Staff Unique does though from lvl19+. It is a very good staff. +50% cold resistance and physical damage protection.

Edgewise Two Hander.

Just gonna... quote myself to elaborate abit lol. I really reccomend 75% Movespeed in stealth for rogues for traveling. Yet forgot that for most people it wont seem to work. If you are a speed addict like me that hates mounts (clunky, cant loot etc) that really want to cut down on the time sink of running try this fadetouched.

It seemingly wont work out of combat. But the movespeed counts when jumping and for 0.5 seconds when landing. What you want to do is use evade jump for hill diving down slopes and cliffs, and "quake jumping" otherwise. If you jump constantly and get a feel for the 0.5'ish second MS bonus when landing to run, you can traverse the map with high speed.

Warning: Will become addictive and you cant live without it once youve tried it.

Wouldn't know. Unable to get it on this current playthrough as it is in a region that I have previously cleared. And I'm not going to be finishing this incarnation anytime soon with only an hour or two a day to play the game.. half of that taken up by the long loading screen.

Fiona dropped this for me during IYHSB, current Inquis is a rogue so of course I tried it out as soon as I went back to the Hinterlands to kill things but... it doesn't seem to work, at all.

And Inquis is a DW, so he is in the middle of everything, enemies are hitting him all the time but no barrier building up if Egglas isn't casting one.

A couple nice drops that I have gotten are The Best Defense, a level 20 37 armor shield with an effect that it "deals massive damage to all enemies in the area" every 5th time you block with shield wall. Haven't been able to test it since I'm only level 8, maybe you will have better stuff than that by level 20, I dunno; but it sure sounds cool.

Then there is El'garnan E'naste (or something like that, not sure if I spelled it right), a level 7 bow with more damage than even the Bane of Red Crossing and the "explosive arrows" effect (which from what I can see, causes every shot to do a large amount of AoE fire damage, so yeah..... it's pretty great). Easily the best pre-Skyhold bow if you get it at an early level like I did.

Both of those items aren't too useful because you can craft them

I used a (Crafted) Elgarnan bow right through trespasser. Love it. Great for an artificer when you crit every hit, and that thing hits multiple enemies at once.

All depends on the stage of the game you're at. I haven't found those schematics yet--I'm guessing you have to buy them for umpteen thousand gold in the black emporium, or find them in the DLC mission itself, which is even worse since it can't even be played until you already finished the game. So if you're not even at Skyhold yet and you get that bow, yeah, it's pretty damn good while you're still in the single digit levels.

Be warned, best defense has a really annoying animation/sound that persists even when not in combat. It covers your inventory screen in the animation which looks like a weird blue vortex and you constantly hear what sounds like the smallest, most annoying drum beating whenever it is equipped. However, you can also get knight's second shield schematic, which is on par with all other tier 3 shields, and comes with a built in mastercraft that blocks one melee attack every so often. and you can stack your own mastercraft on top of it. Plus the shield is huge and badass.

I got The Best Defense shield in my current playthrough pre-IYHSB--and forgot to take it out of the container before starting the quest!  Oh, well, at least I got the schematic on my last PT!

I like using energy barrage while in stealth because you get like 12 hits that end up being all critical on one target.  It's a thing of beauty. I had this ring on my most recent KE mage.  Didn't spec the spirit blade at all.

Most importantly, there are 2 schematics that drop:

The Knight's Second, a shield (http://dragonage.wik...econd_Schematic)

The Armada Captain's Knife, a dagger (http://dragonage.wik...Knife_Schematic)

I've got the shield, but not the dagger, even after what feels like hours of save scumming.

You're missing a few more items, all of which are listed here.

EDIT: it seems the dagger might not drop at higher levels, as it's only T2. I've never got it at lvl 27. It would be interesting to know what lvl people were at when they got it to drop.
