Rate the salarians! As some of the smartest yet shortest living intelligent species in the galaxy, what is your favorite of the salarians in the multiplayer universe!

Personally I love the Salarian Infiltrator. It's a hard choice though considering all of the different salarians available.

A Salarian Biotic would have been interesting. More awareness/debuffing abilities to try and follow the lore. Maybe something like the Justicar's bubble, a biotic version of area tac-scan, and something with a hefty single target debuff. Warp, DC, I dunno.

I'm totally going to be that guy and point out that the Vorcha don't live as long as the Salarians do. And before you point out that the Vorcha aren't intelligent, they know how to burn things as well as you or me or any spacefaring goon, and that counts for something.

 

 

Salarian Infiltrator gets an 8/10.  Because I said so.

 

Salarian Engineer gets an 8/10 because it actually doesn't suck, contrary to what PUGs believe.

Personally I rate the vanguard over the adept or the sentinel, but the soldier is pretty good too.

1(tie).  Salarian Infiltrator.  The ridiculously OP kit in the game before the GI was introduced.  Still more OP than people give him credit for. 

 

1(tie).  Salarian Engineer.  Used to be OP (indispensable?) in any game vs. Geth.  Saved countless PUG lives with his decoy.  Responsible for more cover grab kills than all other kits combined.  Now mostly sits on the sideline drinking Scotch and telling young N7 operatives about the old days, when men were men, Firebase White didn't have a back corridor, and they used to cover grab Pyros because they were tougher back then.

Salarians are awesome - easily my favorite race in ME universe. SE is my favorite among the two but they're both super fun to play. The SE is a top 5 character of mine, and the SI is close-by.

 

I wish we had more salarians in the game though. IMO, not including more salarians is the worst MP decision BW took (esp. when the inclusion of 4 junk volus is considered).

Infiltrator. Usually if I feel like playing a non-shadow infiltrator I'll play the salarian.

SI is my favorite only because it's one of the only kits I enjoy sniping with.  I do enjoy me some engi though.

I'm a Salarian Engineer kinda Terminator. Because science and tech mix very well with my sub-routines.

 

But nice to see Mgamerz getting into the spirit of BSN drama.

From a gameplay point of view it's the Engineer on #1 for me. Nice power setup, versatile against every faction and fun against geth because decoy.

Infiltrator is more a damage dealer for me. But with claymore easily among my top 10 favorite.

 

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to start a new thread "Rate those Collectors"...

SE 10/10 for being one of the most versatile and balanced kits in the game. I feel he is not a lot of fun under platinum as he is more focused on survivability than on raw dps and that he is at its best when the ennemies get diversified. But on platinum, oh boy, this guy makes any duo easy.

 

SI 9/10 for being ridiculously powerfull (I spent 6 months playing only him on firebase white vs geth)

 

PS : all the volus hate hurts my feelings

I wonder if the negligible salarian representation suggests BioWare considers the genophage canonically cured. Therefore the few salarians who are aiding the united war effort are Valern's or Kirrahe's people.

 

Of course it could just be that salarians weren't as popular in-house for whatever reason, unlike the nine million krogan and asari we got instead.

Every Salarian's first nursery rhyme teaches how Tech is superiour to biotics, and to steal as much of it as possible through adulthood
