Just had a BSNer join a game in progress, die with the torch and quit instantly, taking the torch with them. Won't be naming names, but if you do this, screw you. Wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't already solo'd 2-3 zones before they even joined.

Meh. Normally I'd just suicide and start over, but the salt was real because limited game time. My point still stands though. Broken event is broken.

It's painful to think how valuable time was spent on "fixing" the veil torch event that 99% of people found to be more annoying than anything instead of using the time to fix more important issues that should've had priority. Baffling...

What happened to the torch protective circle?  Does it remain?  Otherwise everyone would die right?

Torch is the best event. 

 

Please remove Inquisition Captain and replace it with more torch events.

The circle stayed in the spot where they died. Wouldn't be a problem if the event didn't have to be completed to clear the zone.

It's not that bad, you still got however much xp/gold in accordance to however much time you have spent in the game. Hell I'd even say you didn't lose anything in comparison to ctd and disconnection.

I'd rather they remove the escort mission altogether, at least on higher difficulties. Almost guaranteed 100+ gold lost per stage especially if you are soloing or duoing.

I'm mostly playing for extractions, but yeah. Thankfully the zone had only just started, so there was still stuff around to kill me. Still, this is another issue on top of those you mentioned, and shouldn't be downplayed.

The escort event wasn't so bad when he could be barriered...I'd prefer it if this stuff was actually tested, but I guess that makes too much sense.

I think a troll tried to do this in a P-Pug I was running yesterday. They just stood there for a minute with the torch and laughed over their mic, luckily they got hit by a shotgun blast which dropped the torch and then mere seconds later they dropped out.
