Well, that was an interesting finale.

So my heroine gets her arm magically burned off by a basketcase psychotic, supposed god dude who wants to unscrew the world by screwing it even harder. I like that, though. There aren't enough handicapped video game protagonists out there. I think physical differences build character. Though I assume it means the Inquisitor will have to retire from engaging in combat... it would be rather taxing one handed.

Hopefully her husband doesn't mind, though. I hear there are some clever things you can do with a stump in the bedroom.

Though it is kind of weird that immediately after that you walk into a crowded room with your shirt neatly pinned up over your stump and nobody even notices. If someone I knew just casually strode into the room one day minus a limb, I'd be just a little bit curious as to what the hell happened. Then again, I never notice when anyone gets a new haircut, so maybe I wouldn't notice that either.

.

And no, I don't care about Solas ditching a romanced Inquisitor, or betraying literally everyone who trusted him, because he was stupid and annoying from the start. Also, bald men are butt ugly. I hope if there is another DA game we'll get to kill him, because he's stupid and annoying.

Solas seems much more misguided, out of personal guilt, than basketcase psychotic to me. I'm surprised that so many gamers choose to view him as insane? I would need much more evidence to view him that way; not that I'm excusing his history of perhaps erroneous decisions.

No matter what them almighty devs do, they're always going to end up feeding into someone's fetishes.

As in monopalegics?

Never knew that was a fetish....

Dwarves are midgets...

Cassandra is a Nun

Iron bull is.... well yeah.....

the list goes on...

Your reaction is familiar, TheButterflyEffect.

One difference, though.  I have a bald fetish. ;)

Hey, you reap what you sow. Demons are only created if corrupted by mortals. If there are so many demons around, there must be something corrupt about the mortals. Solution, get rid of the mortals. Seems like a good plan to me.

As to one of your points (and completely ignoring anything about fetishes) we don't know how long after Quizzy lost their arm that they walked into the tribunal.

There are a few Trespasser threads already so you could have just posted in one of those.

I'm not attracted to bald dudes either . But Solas grows on you . ( I like his chin dimple.)  ^_^

It's not mortals, just anyone who isn't an elf. He wants to make them all immortal again. And bump off everyone else.

No, Solas' plan will wipe out the elves too. He straight up says as much to a Dalish Inquisitor.

Solas didn't remove the Inquisitor's arm. He only removed the mark. The hand/arm was too far gone at that point and couldn't be saved.

He kept the arm and preserved it in a jar.

I regretted buyiing Inquisition (PC - less tactical depth, tac cam, boring side content, party banter bug etc.) but i wanted to know how the story of the Inquisitor/Inquisition ends so i bought the DLC and i have to say im glad i did. It made me "unregret" the decision to buy the original game because even though i had to pay extra to see the finale the story in its whole form is totally worth it. I particularly liked the ending with explanation of Solas and with the fate of the Inquisition i chose. Anyone who finished the game should play Tresspasser, its a must.

One thing that does not make sense for me is why Solas wants to bring back the elf power. He didnt seem to care for them until the the very last conversation.

Whatever floats your head canon. :? Although, I don't know how he'd retrieve it because he wasn't there when it was removed.

He cares about nobody but himself. He didn't even see the people of Thedas, including Elves, as people. He just wants to bring back his old world so he can feel better, not caring what it does to everybody else, including the people he is supposedly helping. I bet the elves who follow him don't know this little kernel of information.

He was the one who removed it, with magic, at the end of that cutscene.

He didn't remove the arm at all. He only removed the Anchor. Someone asked Weekes on twitter if he removed the arm.

http://olessan.tumbl...ication-on-what

"I asked mr. Weekes for some clarification on what Solas did to the Inquisitor’s arm:

@PatrickWeekes Sorry if you’ve already answered this, but did Solas remove Quizzy’s arm or did they cut it off later? What’d he do to it?

@Olessan He removed the Anchor. Your hand was too far gone at that point to save, though.

Looks like the Anchor damaged the Inquisitor’s forearm too much, or after it was removed there wasn’t enough left of it to keep, and they removed it at some point afterward (soon after returning to the palace, evidently)."

The way I see it, Solas is a man/god who has existed far beyond anything that any of us or our inquisitors can understand. He built made the veil that seporated the fade from the world. The veil that was once torn down by magisters who entered the golden city and were cast out as dark spawn...

his knowledge and understanding of things is far beyond what we can comprehend. He has seen a world we can not fatham. My elf inquisitor pleaded with him not to go through with his plans and the way I understood his final words, it sounded like he was giving her a chance to change his mind. But she was going to have to work for it.

As for losing the arm. It was that or her life. And since she is a mage, I imagine she can still cast spells and hold a staff. I also imagine (my head canon) that Dagna could fashion for her some sort of lyrium type mechanical arm that she could channel her magic through as well. Would suck otherwise where she a rogue or two handed soldier type character.

My Inquisitor is a Rift Mage, which means he can just conjure Stone Fist from the Fade and use that as a new left hand. Also it can turn into a claw. Also a battleax.

Ya know what, let's just say my Inquisitor is like Green Lantern now.

Oh so they had to use a tourniquet and saw? Wow, that totally reminds me of that old wives' tale about two guys finding a severed leg in a barrel of whiskey after they'd drunk almost half of it. I wonder what they did with Quizzy's arm... hmm. I wish they'd shown that in the game, would have made things a lot clearer.

My only concern is that my Inquisitor(s) is bereft an arm. I'm thinking that Biance Davri can make a new one. She is a genius when it comes to machines, so maybe she could make a workable prosthesis.
